"Very classy place. We loved our stay in Portree and the hotel was a positive part of the visit. I searched for the best sea scallops in the town and it just so happened that the Marmalade's restaurant was very high on the recommendations. So we gave it a try. Incredible! Super quiet and clean. Staff is outstanding. The walk up the hill is a little steep but it was worth being out of the main area for the quiet. Would stay there again for sure."
Bracken Hide Hotel

"The Hides were a perfect little private get away. The staff dropped our bags off at our Hide for us which was very helpful. The restaurant (reservation needed) was very nice, the lounge was comfortable and the drinks were excellent. Every staff member greeted us with a smile and was more than happy to help us with anything we needed. Lovely stay, highly recommended!"

"house has a nice layout (except of course not having a toilet upstairs). great windows that let in light/air with black out blinds. great kitchen. fast hot water. ADORABLE sheep. a good location about ten minutes drive to portree (though parking in town at dinner time is an absolute horror in peak season, arrive 20 minutes before your meal to allow time to drive around looking for parking then walk, the antlers grill in the portree hotel tied for the best meal we’ve had on vacation, including in london. edinbane inn is also good. follow agnes’s directions and photos for arrival and map yourself to “river view (with a space in between) cottage, portree,” NOT the address given which will send you to a different house, the river lodge using google maps. it would have been useful to know that the driveway was right across from the poachers bothy since that has a nice big sign. you can’t see the river view sign till you’re up the hill. and there was no visible graemar’s house so the arrival instructions could be updated but we found it. the unfortunate part of our stay was a mustiness that gave us allergies, some from the furniture in the living room, but a lot also from the carpet upstairs. my husband couldn’t even be in the living room the last couple days. our nightclothes and pillow slips stank after we left. other than that it’s a good place. didn’t have much interaction with Agnes, but got a good vibe from her."

"The Chalet was even better than we expected and Jenny and Carl are wonderful hosts. The setting (the water views and the sunset!!), the decor and the space were wonderful for our family of three (2 adults and one child). The kitchen and dining area is super and much larger than expected. We cooked breakfast every morning and had everything we needed. The location is excellent and very central to everything we wanted to do and see - it’s very easy to navigate to and from the Chalet. The living room and bedrooms are comfortable and the bathroom is a very nice size, everything is modern and the house was SO clean. Jenny thought of many details like the lovely toiletries in the bathroom, sweet treats and coffee and tea for the mornings or evenings. We sure hope we get to visit Skye again and if we do we would love to stay at the Chalet. They have created a very welcoming Chalet that made us feel right at home and very sad to go!"
