"We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Rene. We arrived much later than planned but were welcomed so graciously and even made some food. The rooms, with fantastic air conditioning, and grounds were spotless because they were cleaned every day. ALL staff were friendly and approachable. Sunbeds, swimming and restaurant area were all well maintained. Beach and town centre all within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again."

"We stayed at Alkyon Hotel for 3 nights before travelling on to Skopelos and I couldn’t recommend this hotel more! It was so convenient being 5 minutes drive from the airport and on the sea front. It was less than 5 minutes walk from the main strip of restaurants along the front of the port but slightly out of the main town area so was quiet at night. "The staff were friendly, kind and very helpful . The breakfast and lunch was good, The sun beds were very comfortable, 20€ for 2 beds plus 1 umbrella. Unless you were in the front row when it was 25€. As there was 3 of us no option but to pay for 4 beds ! Hotel situated in an ideal spot, bus stop 5, with an easy was into town on the lower road, Supermarket across the road. I booked a sea view suite which I believed was in the new block but it wasn’t it was in the hotel which was fine but...

"Our AC didn’t work and the staff knew that and put is in the room. When we asked for help to turn on the AC we were told there’s an issue with the AC in our room and they can’t do anything about it that night. It would’ve been nice to be put in a room that had AC"

"Staff was very friendly and view from our small but clean, comfortable room was amazing! The downside is that you have to haul your luggage up an old stone walkway and staircase to check in at The Water hotel. Unfortunately, our bags were 50 lbs (23kg) each. Luckily, a staffer offered to take them the rest of the way to our room at The Rock, which is more old stone stairs up to an old stone walkway away. There are no elevators. Thank goodness for Alberto!"

"The rooms were clean and comfortable, the shower was great. Breakfast was good, with a few different options. The pool is clean and a good size with lots of sub beds around it. The staff were all very friendly and happy to help. Brilliant views of the mountains and the sea to the other side."

"Wardrobe had a light in which kept clicking all night keeping us awake. People outside the hotel used the pool and beach seats making it difficult to get a seat. We did not get to go around the pool. Food choice was very poor if you are a vegetarian. Had the poorest food ever in Skiathos around the pool bar - tasteless chicken and cod bites. When reported to the restaurant about the limited choice we were told that is all they’ve got - no attempt to address it or improve. In the end we ate...

"Nice and newly renovated property. Not too far from town, but not walking distance. We took taxis and the water taxi a couple times. Only disappointment was our rooms that had children booked in each were not placed on the same floor. I think they could’ve made a greater effort to ensure this since we booked well in advance. Pool side service also lacked enthusiasm but the bar was near enough that this wasn’t a great inconvenience. Would stay there again."
