"This is my favourite budget-friendly hotel to stay at in the UK. This is my second stay and this time it was during a heatwave, so I really appreciated the a/c. The rooms are well appointed and clean. The showers are powerful, the beds could be more comfortable, but they will do. The hotel is a two minute walk from a massive Waitrose supermarket and the rooms come equipped with a mini fridge to store whatever you need to. "I stayed on a weekend. There was events on but staff were well organised and friendly. Breakfast was great"

"Our river view room (one of three) had a beautiful upstairs with deck chairs and a table, which were perfect for morning tea and for watching the river. We even bought dinner at Waitrose and ate on our little deck."
