"This is definitely family friendly but the pools seemed dirty the walls didn't look clean which was disappointing because the pools are nice and the lazy river was my favorite but didn't like we couldnt enjoy a drink through the lazy river . The slides were fun . Room was nice comfortable bed i will say they charge for everything. One of the nights they had snow cones which I thought were free but they charged me the extra 200 for parking and resort fee while we were there I wasn't a fan of .i would go back though my daughter enjoyed it"

"Stayed for a family vacation, just a one night stay and we were looking for relaxation and pool time. Beautiful grounds; much nicer than the photos convey. There are a couple minor critiques I could give, but the nightly rate definitely reflected those minor things so it was fair and ended up a great value- the couple of critiques: We came during a crazy heat wave and we had hoped to spend all day at the pool but the water was pretty hot in every pool so it was not very refreshing and they were also taking care of maintenance at one of their main pools so it limited the options for all the guests. Additionally, the room needed quite a few *minor* wear and tear repairs, but overall it was a very nice and comfortable stay. I do think we may have come during off season? Though we assumed June would be a busy season and didn’t anticipate all the maintenance work going on. It’s clear we got a great deal as they worked on regular maintenance needs. Pleasantly surprised- would definitely return. Again, absolutely beautiful grounds, we loved the desert landscape, very well manicured. Amenities for the kids were great as well. No complaints, truly. We were lucky to get such a great rate and would gladly do it again."

"I’ve stayed at the JW Marriott Palm Desert multiple times, and overall it continues to be a fun and enjoyable experience. The property is beautiful, the grounds are well maintained, and the staff throughout the resort were friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. That said, the pool area was a bit underwhelming during this visit. There were four plastic cups sitting on the ground near the edge of the pool directly in front of me. Several staff members walked by them multiple times without addressing the issue. The cups were eventually removed, but only after I brought it to someone’s attention. At a resort of this caliber, I’d expect a bit more attentiveness in maintaining the pool area throughout the day. Despite that, the service from the team was excellent overall, and we still had a great time. The JW Marriott remains one of our favorite desert getaways, and we look forward to returning."
