"Very small room with weird smell. Staff is useless and just wants to get rid of you. You hear everything going down the hallway and rooms around, no noise insulation in the room. Super loud air system. Miniature closet and bathroom, even smaller than European standards!"

"We arrived from a morning train. The concierge greeted and stored our bags so we could take in the sights. We returned midafternoon and were allowed an early check-in and the valet had already moved our bags to the room. Checkout was the same. We really thought the service was great! The location was excellent as well. Cloud Gate was a couple minutes walk. Shopping and museums were short walks or uber rides. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Overall a great stay!"

"I’ve stayed at the Hilton Chicago many times, and I keep going back because it is always a great experience. The staff is great, making check in easy and using the amenities easy. The property is clean and well maintained, so it feels luxurious, and it’s right downtown in the loop so you have easy access to anything you may want to experience in Chicago. I highly recommend the Hilton for any trip or staycation in Chicago."

"The staff here are good at their jobs. The property itself is a bit dilapidated, but they keep it clean. Breakfast was fine, nothing special but not bad. It was what you'd expect of breakfast at a 2.5-3 star hotel... There was decent variety (e.g., waffles, sausage gravy and biscuits, eggs and sausage, yogurt and fruits), but the quality of everything was mediocre. Overall, I'd say this is a decent budget place to stay for a night or two. I'd mainly book again because of the staff keeping the place running smoothly and treating customers well."

"We had a lovely stay at the Royal Sonesta! The location was excellent; the property was beautiful - well-maintained and clean. Staff was fantastic all around, from the gentleman at the front door to the front desk staff, and the restaurant staff as well, where we had a delicious breakfast and chatted with some lovely fellow guests while we ate. On the negative side, and these are very small inconveniences, we didn't get fresh kleenex for the bathroom, so we took some from the housekeeper's cart. The TV reception was quite poor on many of the channels (I know - lots of people don't even watch the TVs in hotel rooms anymore!), and the fridge made a lot of noise! I suppose we could have asked for assistance with these things, but as I said, these were very small inconveniences, we were only there for three nights, and we were really only in our room at night. Everything else was great, and the rate was super for a downtown Chicago hotel, so I do recommend the Royal Sonesta!"
