"It was a nice room and location, but only one elevator worked the whole time. "

"Avoid this. Really terrible experience. Everything is old fashioned and they don’t even provide water. They scam you and charge $7 per water bottle. They don’t have elevators either, and they gave us room on the 2nd floor and had no help from any staff. Poor knobs, lights flickering in the room and poor plumbing. We paid $210 per night and it’s worse than a $40 room at other places."

"Good location but that was it. Pool closed despite being advertised as being open from March 1st Andy’s arriving on April 4th, no advance warning of this. With 2 young boys with us this was deciding factor in booking this particular hotel, had we been notified prior to our stay we would have cancelled our booking. Check in was appalling, very slow and staff on reception lacked customer service skills. They said they would pass our feedback on to the manager and someone would be in touch, we have heard nothing. Breakfast was very poor, despite 2 members of staff working hard to restock, there just wasn’t enough food out to cope with the volume of guests but they knew how many people had checked in so this shouldn’t have come as a surprise! The space was too small and the lines for waffles and the toaster took ages. We didn’t bother with breakfast on our second day. There are plenty of other hotels in the area, if we were returning to the area we wouldn’t bother to stay here again. "

"An absolutely incredible stay—a true hidden gem and easily the accommodation of our trip. The house is gorgeous, spotless, and beautifully decorated with so much care and attention to detail. We loved stargazing from the rooftop hot tub, and the complimentary wine (generously poured!) was such a nice touch. Breakfast was amazing—fresh Swedish pancakes with lingonberries. Eric has been hosting for 26 years, and it shows. He’s incredibly welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable about the area. Highly recommend—we’ll definitely be back!"
