"This is a family run business, and nothing was too much trouble. The reception was excellent, as was the bar and dining room. A really lovely home from home atmosphere. The room was clean, comfortable, and well equipped. I did have my car broken into whilst I was staying, that was nothing to do with the hotel, but just remember to remove all items of any value before you park up for the night. The hotel management could not apologise enough, but as I say it wasn't their fault."

"Lovely old inn located ideally for Harry Potter World and LEGOLAND. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, breakfast was delicious, we stayed for 3 nights and ate in the restaurant. Only slight recommendation for improvement would be that the menu for evening meals could offer a little more choice when staying more than one night. Our room was huge and we would definitely stay again. "

"I stayed as a solo guest as i had been to a local wedding. Checkin on arrival after the wedding was quick, the room was clean and comfy, with a good refreshment tray, however missed having mint tea bags as a choice, both in room and at breakfast. The buffet breakfast hot food was not necessarily hot, just warm , and i was earlier rather than late to breakfast. "The reception areas and grounds were beautifully kept. The room was a little tired and the ceilings in the bathroom were particularly low - anyone over 5ft 5 might struggle to stand in the bath to use the shower. But the bed linen was spotless and the bed itself extremely comfy. I slept well and heard minimal noise from other guests and from the surrounding area. Would highly recommend. "
