تفاصيل مكان الإقامة

Seclusion in the Lost Pines hosted by Jan

  • Secluded rustic cabin on 255 acres of private pine forest. Enjoy hiking, mountain biking & views from large deck. Fully stocked kitchen with coffee maker, blender, microwave, & dishwasher. BBQ on the outdoor propane grill and enjoy a campfire under the stars (bring your own firewood or collect downed wood and cut to pit size). 2 miles off highway. Perfect for couples, solo adventurers, and families. Pets are allowed with a $30 per pet fee. Up to three pets. Please let us know if you will be bringing yours.

Our cabin is on property that has been in our family since the early 1800s and guests are encouraged to walk, ride (bring your bike) and enjoy the serenity of the area at their leisure. You’ll find the construction of our cabin comfortable, attractive and interesting. Newly renovated as of January 2019 with updated appliances and vinyl flooring throughout. The cabin's interior walls are of cedar and the exposed rafters add an extra charm. The front and back doors are usually open to enjoy the gentle breeze that blows through the cabin. Well water can taste and smell like sulfur. Recommend bringing your own drinking water. Enjoy the beauty of over 200 acres of private land.

My grandchildren wanted to go somewhere in the woods. We were definitely in the woods. We had lots of fun exploring and playing while also having a comfortable cabin to stay in. It was welcoming and clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay.

Love the cabin! Exceptionally clean, the decor is thoughtful and really adds to the “old country” cabin feel. The bed was so comfy, the reclining couch was relaxing… The host really thought of everything to make our stay perfect! We were definitely “city coming to the country” and we enjoyed every minute (our dogs, too!). Wind in the trees, collecting pine cones, nature walks, evenings on the back porch, the rain… This place is a hidden gem. We can’t wait to return!

Perfect retreat

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin is charming but comes with most mod cons. We didn’t turn the tv on, instead we loved the rocking chairs on the back porch for relaxing, bird watching and enjoying the forest setting..

Our stay at the cabin

We absolutely loved our stay at the cabin. The cabin itself was charming and rustic. If you are wanting a fancy place to stay, this isn’t the place for you. If you want an awesome, quiet, rustic place where you have room to hike, enjoy the quiet and the land, this is definitely the place! We would come back to this place again!

Secluded Cabin

We had a great time at this cabin! Very secluded, lots of amenities, and comfortable furniture. We took advantage of the hammock and propane grill to enjoy the outdoors. They were also working on clearing the dirt/gravel road to the property so it was much smoother than I had read from previous reviews. I would definitely stay here again!

Peaceful Retreat Among the Pine Trees

I loved the feel of the cabin on this private property tucked among the pine trees. If you are looking for peaceful solitude, this is the place. Very close to the state park for hiking and the little town is cute too. The cabin was a little buggy, not too bad, but expected since it's in the middle of nowhere. I enjoyed a peaceful solo get away here.

Another great stay in the woods

Our favorite place to relax and unwind free from the road noise, and noisy neighbors. This was our third visit and already planning for next year. This cabin is as advertised, quaint, rustic but with the best back porch in Texas. Great for morning coffee or evening drinks and with a view what else could you ask for.
