I didn't know the Tree of Life was filmed there; so that was cool to see. Also, the town and food were pretty awesome!





If you're spending some time in Downtown Smithville, James H. Long Railroad Park and Museum and World's Largest Gingerbread Man are top sights worth seeing.

The house was great. The train was right across the street but we enjoyed watching them! They don't go fast and there isn't crossing arms right by the house so the "noise" was really just a low rumble. Didn't bother us at all at night. The kitchen is well stocked. You can take time to visit Buescher State Park during your travels to Smithville. Wander the lakeside or discover the mountain views in this family-friendly area.
Though Ascension Seton Smithville might be what brings you to town, perhaps you'll have a chance to explore more of Smithville while you are here.
You can spend an afternoon exploring the galleries in James H. Long Railroad Park and Museum during your travels in Smithville.
