"It was okay for a quick night's sleep. The bed was comfortable enough. The a/c worked but it was still very warm in the room. The room was not so dirty, just well-used and patched back together. I would have expected to pay half the price that we did for that quality of room. Our TV did not work at first and they sent someone right up to fix it. The staff was very kind, but the room was lacking."

"The hotel was nice and clean but the bar was closed and the snack market that they maintain for guests had very little to offer in the way of snacks or beverages. It was a rainy night and the last thing I wanted to do was leave for a snack or a drink but was left with little choice. With those things fixed, it would have been a lovely stay."

"Kayla is one of the best people I’ve dealt with at check-in. She’s quick to respond if anything comes up, always accommodating, and always has a smile when I come to town. Customer service matters to me, and she’s a big reason I try to stay here exclusively. Brandy recently joined the team and has been great to work with, too. I look forward to getting to know her more. They both bring an energy you don’t find at many hotels in North Kansas City. I’ve spent the past four months in this area and stayed at the surrounding hotels. The Ramada’s amenities are better, and the price is competitive. After a long day, the jacuzzi rooms are absolutely worth it—and they have four of them! The pool and hot tub are clean and open until midnight, which is a huge plus. Some neighboring hotels don’t have pools, and others have had theirs closed for months. That, along with the people here, keeps me coming back."

"Liked that it didn't cost an arm & a leg for our Jack Russell to be able to stay with us in our cabin. Everything inside worked real good except the wall heater but the dehumidifier kept us warm enough a few nights. We reported it to the front desk person but the message must not have been delivered to the right person? Everything was clean inside & no bugs. People at the front desk were friendly & helpful also. The drain in the shower needs replaced because of sharp metal in the drain could really cause a deep cut to toes. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay @ Basswood."
