"Absolutely beautiful place inside and out. We so enjoyed our stay. There was 8 of us and there was so much space for gatherings in the house, the kitchen is open with plenty of seating and open to the living room with even more space. Outside had a great patio for barbequing and of course a fire pit area with plenty of firewood to get busy making s’mores! We brought our boat along, and come to find out it’s one of the cleanest lake in the Adirondacks, we did some water skiing and tubing. We did make use of the 3 kayaks and and the canoe on the property too. So there is what they call a boat house there and it’s really pretty amazing. It was a great addition to the place, we hung out there right on the water. We love the Adirondacks so we are very familiar with the area, your only a half hour from Old Forge and all it’s attractions and then Eagle Bay and Inlet, which we love shopping at and getting ice cream.Everyone already wants to reserve the house for next year and my husband says for Snowmobiling season too!Pat is a great host and very informative and always answers your call or text. You will not be disappointed only in love with the place.Check in was a breeze Pat keeps it very simple.And a note for the kitchen it has everything you need for cookware, utensils dishes and the spices too."

"Will be returning to this property. We take a vacation every year to the Adirondacks. I use to stay in the cabins but the price has skyrocketed and is no longer worth it. So this year my family and I tried out a hotel for 5 days. Glad we chose the Adirondack Lodge. Check in was super easy. The ladies at the front desk were kind and helpful our entire stay. They even kept me Updated on the buck that sleeps next to the tennis court. The rooms and property were very clean. Shower pressure was super strong. AC worked very well. Mini fridge cold and internet worked great. The pool was by far one of the cleanest I’ve swam in. The only negative I have is the beds are super super soft. Im 250 pounds, so that weight plus my wife’s weight caused the bed sink in the middle (we love to cuddle but we were practically rolling on top of each other lol). Our 2 boys 8 & 5 shared a bed and had no problem. Property is a 1 min drive into town and we didn’t experience any loud neighbors during our stay. As I stated we will def be staying again. Thanks! "

"I took my sister and her friends for her birthday celebration and it was lovely! It is also located only 10 minutes away from cute little shops and water safari so that is definitely ideal. The only thing I recommend for future guests in the summer time is that you should maybe bring an extra fan or two, the house has many fans but when everyone is in the same room together, it gets quite warm. Wonderful stay and we all would love to book this home again :) "

"My cousins and I very much enjoyed our 2nd stay at the Matteson’s rental cabin. It’s the perfect home base for a trip to Old Forge. It has everything you need - comfy beds, a nice bathroom with shower, kitchen with fridge, microwave, and regular coffee maker, and a fire pit. We were grateful for the air conditioning too. Bridget is a kind and responsive host. We hope to come back ASAP! :)"

"This property is absolutely beautiful! The swing outside was my favorite thing. The pictures make it look like you can easily cross to the "other side" of the river to the rocks, but we found that to be rather difficult! My kids could do it, but myself and my father-in-law could not. The house was very well appointed and clean. The proximity to town was convenient and the "shady trail" was perfect for our group."
