"Second time staying here. Bear house is simply perfect. Great location, great hosts. It is a joy to stay here. The grounds are welcoming, with plenty of places to sit and chat with your group, or new friends! Parking is right there. The rooms are always clean, and well stocked with coffee and snacks. "This was the perfect solution for us. Our son graduated from UTC Saturday morning and then we helped him move out of his apartment that was located literally across the street. Ample space and amenities for the short time we actually spent in the room. The basement room was a bit chilly, but we prefer that when we sleep so it wasn’t a huge deal for us. "We had a wonderful long weekend in this spacious condo..We visit this city frequently and this was one of the best locations we have stayed in terms of proximity/accessibility to restaurants, riverfront, etc. It was very nice, clean condo and the layout was very relaxing. "The Bear House is a delightful place to stay. We had the full upstairs and it was like two small apartments that were joined together. Yes it is a little eclectic, but so many personal touches and each room is decorated individually. Everyone loved it. Plenty of little sitting areas and very quiet and sound proof. "Staying in an updated historic loft that is beautifully decorated, made us feel so comfortable. There is a park across the street and the loft is near the base of Lookout Mountain. There is so much to see and do within a few minutes walk or short drive. The scenery was beautiful and so was the architecture in the neighborhood. Local people were helpful. "Phyllis was great. We showed her the grill had a little damage, just to make sure she was aware of it and didn't think we had damaged it. She immediately purchased a new grill, and had it set up for us within the hour. Will definitely be back. "There were 8 of us. The house is very spacious and comfortable! The kitchen was well stocked with pans and dishes. With 4 bedrooms and 4 baths we were able to spread out and have our own space. Mariella, the owner, was extremely helpful every time we had questions. She even took the time to put fresh cut flowers on the table and entryway! Such a thoughtful touch!
