Lovely house in Sommieres

We really enjoyed this well decorated and comfortable house, beautiful grounds and swimming pool. Quiet neighborhood, walking distance (20 minutes) from the main town. Perfect for our family vacation!

Semaine très agréable

Nous avons passé une semaine très agréable dans cette belle maison qui a beaucoup de charme et qui est très fonctionnelle et bien équipée. Les enfants ont profité de la piscine, des jeux et des livres qui étaient très nombreux. La maison est bien située par rapport à la ville, au calme mais accessible par un chemin piéton en 15 minutes. Nous recommandons sans hésiter.

Une très belle semaine

Maison très agréable, et joliment décorée, avec de beaux tableaux au mur. Cuisine fonctionnelle avec belle vaisselle. Un calme absolu. Piscine impeccable avec une douche extérieure et un brumisateur pour se rafraichir, lové sur un transat. Le jardin est très beau. Idéal en famille. Merci pour ce petit havre de paix.

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely house, full of character and charm.

We visited during August with our 3 sons and 2 girlfriends. We all loved it! The property was full of character and well equipped with everything we needed for an enjoyable holiday. The gardens are large and we all enjoyed relaxing around the pool. Sommieres is a pretty little town with plenty of shops and places to eat and there were many other places to visit within a 30-40 minute drive. A car is necessary as although Sommieres is nearby, the walk back to the house is up a very steep hill. We did it...but not with shopping!

Lovely house in a very peaceful setting

This is an attractive and welcoming home for a family with a fabulous pool and everything you could need to self-cater and be comfortable. It isn't quite five star standard but that in no way detracts from its charm and suitability for a lovely holiday. The grounds including the pool, slackline, shaded hammock, covered terrace and large open areas were terrific. We slept peacefully at night in comfortable beds in cool, pretty bedrooms. The kitchen is Provençal style with everything necessary for serious cooking and beautiful handmade cookware and crockery too. There is plenty of space and seating for staying inside but we lived outside for the most part. The only drawback would be the open staircase which is not suitable for young children. The property is managed by Emmanuel who is a helpful and discreet representative of the owners appearing at the beginning, middle and end of our stay. We were able to walk to Sommieres and Villevieille and my husband enjoyed bike rides around the countryside on one of the four available bikes. We took the car to Nîmes, Ambusson and the Vidorle river for some of the best wild swimming we have ever done. The supermarket is within easy reach on the far side of town and there are lots of shops in Sommieres itself, a charming medieval town. We were fortunate to be there at the time of the bull running festival. Whilst the bull running was not so much our thing, there was a fantastic fiesta in the town square afterwards and we ate and drank with the locals and had a brilliant evening. A highly recommended house, location and holiday especially for families. We took three teens and they loved it. We would definitely return.

Séjour très agréable. La maison est fonctionnelle, facile à vivre. Belle tonnelle pour les repas et grand jardin. Situation appréciable : proche de Sommieres tout en étant à l'écart du trafic.

Mooi huis met prachtige tuin en rustige ligging

Het is een werkelijk prachtig huis met een nog mooiere, zeer ruime en goed verzorgde tuin. Het huis ligt mooi in een rustige omgeving. Er is veel zorg besteed aan de inrichting met goede meubels en mooie accessoires. De keuken is ruim en voorzien van alles wat nodig is. Het zwembad is uitstekend, heeft een goed zonneterras en is zeer schoon. Achter het huis is een terras met goed meubilair en een grillplaat op gas. Kleine puntjes van aandacht zouden de bedden (liever iets breder) en het ontbreken van horren voor de ramen/deuren kunnen zijn. Ook zou het fijn zijn als de, overigens zeer vriendelijke, beheerder ook Engels zou spreken. Al was dat verder allemaal geen beletsel voor een prettige vakantie in een schitterend huis!

Stilvoll eingerichtetes Haus in ruhiger Umgebung

Das Haus befindet sich auf einem großen Grundstück oberhalb von Sommieres. Es ist für Gruppen bis 6 Personen gut geeignet. Die Einrichtung ist hochwertig und zeigt die persönliche Note der Vermieter. Bei mitreisenden Kleinkindern hat man aber immer etwas Angst, dass etwas beschädigt werden könnte. Ansonsten: Schöner Pool, vorhandene Fahrräder, Grill im Garten, Hängematte, usw. - es hat uns sehr gefallen. Einen Punkt Abzug gibt es für die Vertragsabwicklung: Ein sofort nach der Buchung abzuschließender umfangreicher Vertrag in französisch, komplette Vorkasse, ein ausführliches Inventar, das bei Einzug zu unterschreiben ist, 1000 Euro Kaution in bar und relativ hohe Reinigungskosten - das kennen wir sonst anders.
