"I was cycling camping through Norway but hit a patch of terrible weather and found the nearest hotel and that turned out to be the marvelous Grand. Idk but something about this place is so compelling and downright charming. There are so many marvelous details and the breakfast was the best I’ve ever had at a hotel in Scandinavia. "We traveled to Drobak to visit the Christmas house/Christmas festivities. The town was very quiet as it was mid week. There were not many Christmas decorations in the town, but the hotel was gorgeous, beautifully decorated and the staff was unsurpassed. It was an easy walk from the hotel to everywhere in town. The beautiful restaurant served the best food I’d had since starting our travels 3 weeks prior through Belgium, France and Germany. The room was small but adequate and very cozy. "
