Our four night stay at the Avanti House in the Kellogg Room (room#7) was amazing, they had everything we could need including private bath, common rooms, and kitchen with toaster oven/microwave, and everything you need for coffee/tea and snacks

Really enjoyed my stay in the loft. Spacious and full of memorabilia. Was great to have a private bathroom and room itself was quiet. Forgot to turn the air down before coming back late or temperature was a little too warm for a great night’s sleep, so remember to do that as it takes s while for the room to cool down being on the top floor. The host, Don, was very friendly and took time to explain some history of the house and Avanti cars and even took us over to see two over the cars across the street. Overall, a unique and memorable stay.

I loved my room! I had my own private bathroom and enjoyed all of the memorabilia. So happy I got to meet and speak at length with Don. He is a fantastic person who was more than eager to share his knowledge about Avanti and the history of that era. I was astounded with the massive amount of history on the walls, in the rooms and on the tables at Avanti Museum and Guest house!! The home itself is quite spectacular with a copious amount of work done to preserve its heritage. It truly takes you back in time for the duration of your stay. I definitely can't wait to go back, hopefully next June for the National Car Meet of Avanti, early and later model Studebakers!!! Thank you for an awesome stay in South Bend!!!

Great place

This is a great place to stay in South Bend if you’re on a budget but want something comfortable and homey. The rooms are nice and the historic aspect of the house is great. It is also nice to have a kitchen to use, plus mini fridges in the room.

Stayed in The Loft at 131 Chapin. Code access worked perfectly. Extremely clean. We were happy to have a decent sized refrigerator to keep tailgate food cold. Loved having a Keurig in the room and microwave. We had everything we needed in this spacious and charming loft. Loved it.

I can't say enough nice things about our stay in room #7 at the Avanti House. This is an old house, and with that comes both the charm and quirks of an older home. The couple who manage it do an amazing job keeping it up, and everything from the architectural details to the tributes to a classic car legacy make this such a charming place to stay. The location was an easy walk to so many wonderful restaurants and landmarks around South Bend, and getting to Notre Dame was a breeze. I know where I'll be staying when I come to visit my baby for her freshman year next fall!

If you are looking for a nice place to sleep, this is the place for you. They have a kitchen and a bathroom that are quite small but do their job. It’s clearly an older house, but is really well maintained. Everything was clearly labeled and it’s easy to find your room. Only thing is you have to deal with other people, so if you are expecting a house to yourself you would be wrong.
