"Do not hesitate! This gorgeous 200-year-old 3rd floor flat is exactly as advertised. So much better than any hotel. Our family of 7 thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Great location near Calton Hill. Many restaurants within walking distance. The only caveat - there is no lift (elevator), so all guests must be able to climb 70 steps. Martin was an attentive and helpful host. So glad we chose this as our Edinburgh home base."

"It was a very easy check in. Your given cad keys, which also operate everything in your room. At night sleeping, we have been hot and it’s mostly because of the thickness of the duvet. In this room I was able to set the temp to 18c, and we still found it warm. The bar/restaurant is beautiful. For the first time on our Scotland trip, at dinner, when you order your main dish, you also have to order your type of potato, veggie which is another charge. This can be a little pricey, but the food was excellent. It also is only 15 min from Edinburgh Airport which is convenient."

"Staff here are very kind and helpful. The room although small was everything we needed and the bed was comfortable. Our room was at the back of the hotel so it was also nice and quiet. It was very close to great restaurants and bars and within easy walking distance to all Edinburgh hot spots. Perfect location if you’re staying in Edinburgh."
