Was warmly welcomed by the owner, Kara, after I debarked from Royal Caribbean and walked from City cruise terminal. She let me leave my luggage and return to check in. There was no lift, but her husband was kind to bring my bag up to my room before I returned. Room was comfortable and a continental breakfast was included. Stayed two nights before getting on my next cruise. Will stay again!
The owner was amazing! She was very accommodating and provided excellent personal service. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel.
The Lady in charge was very hospitable and helpful- even lent me a plug and cord to recharge my phone:) You can walk into town or to the cruise terminal if you are fit.
Sol stay as booked to see a show at the Mayflower. Found quite easily, easy to park. Greeted i arrival and shown room and explained about breakfast and the keys.
Generally very good but not outstanding, clean and comfortable, helpful proprietor, no complaints, but would have been good if they had offered a full breakfast. Wifi 'iffy'.
The woman managing the place was very kind and helpful. She gave us tips for walking around the area and finding restaurants. When we had a little trouble with transportation for our cruise, she contacted a local taxi company who was there in 5 minutes. It made our day much less stressful. Thank you very much!
Centralt bra boende med trevlig hotellvärd och bra frukost. Vi kommer tillbaka.

Went to bed at 8pm as i had to rise early. At 10pm and for at least half an hour the plumbing make an awful noise. The noise petsisted for another 20 minutes. Spent the night with a pillow over my ear

Nice guest house
Good stay - I arrived later than expected and went straight out to a evening function
Did not stop for breakfast as I was due in Suffolk at 11am.
Bonne situation.
Accueil très sympathique de la propriétaire aux petits soins pour ses clients :-)
Très bon petit déjeuner anglais.
Dommage que la connexion wifi n'était pas top après un moment.
Abbey Lodge for me was perfectly situated between Southampton Central Railway station and the ferry terminal to East Cowes,Isle of Wight.
I had a clean double room with kettle,tv,washstand & adjoining toilet/shower next to the room.
A full English breakfast was enjoyed in a well presented dining area.
I would happily stay there again in the future.

My daughter and I stayed here in May. Comfortable room. Shared bathroom was clean and not an issue. We did not have breakfast as we had to catch the ferry to Cowes and the starting time for breakfast did not allow us enough time to eat and to get to the port.
If you’re wanting a place like Buckingham Palace then this ain’t for you but for a reasonable priced guest house you won’t be disappointed.
Close to train and coach stations with the city centre shops a five minute walk away.
Landlady very nice can’t fault her at all. Breakfast was serial along with a cooked breakfast, tea, coffee or juice drink.
Variety of rooms available with three shared bathrooms. We had a room at the front of the building and the road can be a bit noisy at times, but that’s no fault with the guest house. Rooms were kept tidy and the cleaner did a great job.
This is a great location if you are coming for the Solent University Graduation day. Some ppl stay here for their cruise holidays. Some nice restaurants in city centre I’d recommend Cosmo just passed West Quays shopping centre but there are a variety of places to eat in there on top floor.
All in all I stayed four nights and can’t complain. I’d stay again if an occasion for me to come down to Southampton arises.
It was very clean both the common area and rooms. The breakfast food was also good. VERY friendly hostess and willing to help, if needed.
Nice location a short walk from shopping and services.
Very good value for money, great location in Southampton and very friendly owners running the guest house. Thank you for a pleasant stay. Would recommend.

Decent low budget hotel
Central location, near the station, comfy beds. Lovely lady running the hotel on her own. It is a decent hotel for the price you pay.
The place appeared clean. But by 12:30 AM, was awaken by very itchy bug-bides/lumps over the upper body (neck, back, chin, head and shoulders/arms). We got up several times to check and actually found life-black bug crawling with my blood- stained on the sheet. Not to wake the whole hotel, I suffered until morning to show videos, photos (of my bitten lumps) and the actual bug in a sealed plastic bag to the owner-operator of the Bed n Breakfast.
She acknowledged the apparent facts, but claimed it was not her fault and that it was because the room was just rented to someone from ... (a third-world country) for several days who must have brought in the bugs... We asked for a fair compensation (refund-at-the-least). She refused, but returned only a small fraction out of what we paid. We were in a hurry to "catch-the-boat", so we did not have the time to argue or report to the local health authority. We still have the photos and videos. We just return from the trip across the Atlantic (during which we had little time or WiFi) and intend to show when appropriate to help future travelers.
