Great location. Close to Oxford street for bars/restaurants. Rooms were better than expected from other reviews we read. Excellent for a short stay and for the price.
It was over 100 degrees in our rooms and we couldnt stay there. Stairways so narrow, we couldn't get our suitcases up.
No one on sight to help. Very kind neighbors who tried. Would not recommend this property unless you are young and can withstand HEAT!!!!
No main desk no elevator, narrow dirty staircase, only a email to direct you how to open your door, very hot, old ragged furniture, extra tiny bathroom, no help available , we left and had to go to a second hotel

The room was clean and spacious, and for what we paid we can’t complain really. We were a bit worried about the road noise but had no issues.
The rooms could do with some maintenance (no loo roll holder, bathroom shelf wedged up with pennies, broken plug socket) and better clarification on the access process as the code didn’t arrive til 12 the day of and we weren’t sent a form to fill in prior. But all in, we enjoyed our stay.
Great location, and easy to walk to shops and restaurants.
We booked a Luxury Double Room, but it did not live up to the photos or our expectations. While the room itself was spacious and the location was excellent, there were many disappointments.
There is no front desk or on-site staff, so assistance is limited. Check-in is not available until 3:00 p.m., and there is no luggage storage if you arrive early. The building has no air conditioning or elevator, and the hallways are extremely narrow, making it difficult to move luggage.
The shower water was only lukewarm, and the room lacked convenient electrical outlets. We had to unplug bedside lamps just to charge our phones, and there were no modern USB charging ports.
Overall, the only real positives were the convenient location and the spacious room. Everything else fell well below what we expected from a room advertised as "Luxury." Based on our experience, we were surprised to see this property receiving review scores of 8–10, as our stay did not reflect that level of quality or service.
Firstly it was not suitable if you have a physical disability. There is no-one to help with cases or a place to store them. Narrow, winding staircases made carrying suitcases extremely difficult. We were on 3rd floor. The room itself had broken window (not the glass) and a small child would not have been safe, the safety ties were not adequate. Door handle to bathroom had a single screw, instead of 4, could not be used. Toilet roll holder broken, extractor fan not working, gripper rod to carpet showing (I cut my toe near window). No plug in wash basin. No air conditioning. Need I go on ?!
Would not call this a hotel, just a very stuffy room above a pub with noise to match.

Great location just a short walk from the pubs and restaurants on Oxford Street. Convenient parking in College Street car park. For what we paid, it was what I expected and better than other reviews led me to expect.
A good location and cleanliness are all this “hotel” has going for it. No elevator, no USB ports, no bathtub that it advertised. It doesn’t even have air conditioning! It was ungodly hot, especially trudging up the stairs.
Great basic hotel for the young and agile. Not so good for over 70’s. No lift and 3 flights with heavy luggage.

Room was clean. Bed sheets were way too small for the king bed. We had no towels, however, they did drop off towels a few hours later after sending an email.
The area is fairly quiet and it’s conveniently situated close to restaurants and the cruise port. We do recommend this hotel.
This is the worst ‘hotel’ I never had! No staffs are onsite. Where is no elevator and the stairs is very narrow and steep. With my suitcases, I almost fell down. The room is small and the furniture is very old. The ceiling light is not bright. The two lamps are not working! No air conditioner. The glass is not clean. The bathroom is small and smells odor terrible mold. The towels are small. Washer and dryer don’t work. The pictures on the web are not seen and fake! I strongly it recommend this place.
You could not pay me to stay there again, there is no reception and check in was not convenient, they charge 10 GBP to store your bags before check-in, many flights of stairs to our room, no elevator, no air con and left with bites which suspect were from bed bugs. 😫
This was not what we expected. Be careful to not confuse this with the Harbour Hotel in Southampton. This place does not have a front desk, our toilet seat was broken and the window would not shut. On the positive side, it is located around the block from a lot of good restaurants and it was easy to get to the cruise terminal.
Front door wide open for anyone. Did not know there was no lift till after I paid. Communication to get info was not great. We phoned for help and left number and we are still waiting. Bedroom door was unlocked and would not lock. Slept with chair against door.
Inside the room is OK. Quite spacious. But outside the room is very very run down and messy, with very narrow corridor and staircase that only one person can fit through. It is an old apartment with a history, but you don't see the history, you just feel like being in a very poor neighbourhood. They charged us CAD 265, price of a 3 star hotel with hostel quality. We checked again and it was listed at 44 British pounds. We could not get in the "hotel" because the entrance digital lock was not set up with the code they gave us. It was raining and we were outside on the street. No lobby to hang around. After 30 minutes we got in but the room digital lock was not set up. Finally got in the room after an hour of hassle. Then two hours later the smoke detector alarm went off. Called them to check and it was the smoke coming off the chimney, not to spec height, of the restaurant below. They said it happens quite often since this restaurant came in. They stopped the siren but the red alert light keeps flashing. We could not stand it and went out after calling management about it. We returned in 4 hours and red light was still flashing. Finally saw the housekeeper who turned off the alert light for good. The hot water went out after I was soaped up, just like in the movie. I had to rinse myself off with ice cold water. They do give you good quality bed linen and after the restaurant was closed, we did sleep through the night.it was quite an unpleasant adventure overall.

I think it should be made clear from the time of booking that it self check in and that there are no lifts in the building
The room was clean and well-maintained. The hotel is near to lots of pubs and restaurants so it’s a plus. A bit far from the museums and stuff but not too far.. it’s walkable
The hotel is well located & has pleasant facilities.
However as seniors would not recomend it. Rooms are upstairs with m ultiple narrow staircases which as an 80 plus senior made access arduous
If I were a 30/40 something I would heartily recomend it
Cost & location are excellent. Oxford st. With great restos & bars is less than a minutes walk.

It's a self service check-in though if you phone for help they answer quickly.
Makes it decent value, carpark opposite is £9 for 10 hours and free midnight to 8am, check in 3pm 10hr parking gets you to 9am the next day, use the machine and pay by card not the app
Good area for bars and restaurants
Bed ok clean but not the best, basic overnight stay
Only downside was the check in procedure which didn't seem to work when I attempted to it. However, door code sent and access duly gained. Nice comfy room. It mentioned about noise from outside, but didn't hear anything personally.
Bed was made each day with coffee etc topped up. Made for a nice base for a couple of days
Had a nice stay ...very clean room . perfect location..nice and quiet too...if like me visiting the bars in the area especially the London hotel nearby ...then it's a must .
Closed to the old city and all the attractions, around corner is good for drinks and dinning.

No front desk, only a phone number to call for help. Check in is strictly enforced at 3:00pm. The four digit code, sent by email after you pay, to open the front door begins working at 3:00pm. No safe room or place inside the hotel to store your suitcase if you arrive before 3:00pm.
