"The house was great. My son fished in the river, he saw fish but had no luck catching them. It’s a short drive to the lake and to town to eat or stop at Walmart. We had forgotten our “comfort of home in the kitchen bag”. But we were pleasantly surprised that the house had everything we needed that we left behind in the bag. We had to stay in one day because of high winds and we played games and enjoyed the house. I would recommend this property. "

"Beautifully remodeled home. You are in walking distance to historic downtown Silver City where you find some great restaurants. The Western New Mexico University campus is also just a stroll up the block. We will definitely stay here again."

"This was our second visit to the Painted Pony and it was again a delight for everyone from the four-year old, through the tweens and teens, my grown and married children, and for Grandma and Grandpa. Lots of space, lots of fun things to do (swimming, sauna, basketball, pool, ping pong, etc. It is in the middle of nowhere, which we LOVED! Close to the Chiricahua Mts with great easy and hard hikes. The hosts were very responsive also."
