Me and my wife stayed up here for another week at Harleys cabin for the second year in a row now!Its beautiful and peaceful!Love the lake and peace and quiet😎👍🎣
My husband and I enjoyed our weekend. Everything was perfect and the views were amazing! We are already planning our text trip up. We also recommend Smokey’s Restaurant and Tavern. The fried portobello mushrooms and pizza was amazing!!
My family and I spent the week here and we had the best time! The home had everything we could possibly need to enjoy ourselves! The kitchen was fully stocked and that was sooo amazing and made cooking such a breeze! The view is fantastic, we practically lived on the dock and platform- Hubbard lake is one of the best lakes in Michigan! We loved everything about our stay and we hope to come back again in the future!
!
Perfect place to take retreat from busy life. Crystal clear water, beautiful pines, quiet neighborhood and gorgeous house completed with perfect sunsets. If you want to rewind, recharge body and a brain, this is a place to stay.
My wife, our German shepherd and I, enjoyed perfect week staying at Whispering pines cottage.
we had a wonderful and relaxing stay. Beds were comfortable and cabin was fully stocked with everything we could have needed. It was so nice to try the paddle boards and be able to take our family pets with us. Neighborhood was peaceful and friendly and safe to walk our dogs. We enjoyed some amazing sunsets. Communication and entry was easy to get into the cabin. Thank you for sharing your little get away with my family.
Our family stayed over the Thanksgiving weekend. Beautiful big backyard. The view was just amazing & sunsets didnt disappoint. It was such a quite & relaxing place.
The cottage was warm and very cozy. Kitchen had everything we needed for cooking our Thanksgiving dinner. (Super thankful for that! )
& our doggies loved their stay!
Thank you Harley for sharing this great escape! We hope to return for another season ♡
We enjoyed a great relaxing fall getaway at the Hubbard Lake house. Pockets of vibrant color were starting in the area foliage. The home has a vintage flare but is well appointed with kitchen supplies, comfortable furniture and beds. Outstanding sunset views of the lake from inside and out. We also enjoyed a warm fire on a rainy chilly day. Our dogs enjoyed the yard and a sandy beach at Huron Park in Black River not to far away. Overall we had a nice relaxing stay and we hope to return in the future. Thanks!
We had a great time. The house was very comfortable and well stocked. Fast internet and great tv service. We were able to watch Olympic prime time. We fish every day. Caught few bass, perch and many catfish(errrr!). No walleye, unfortunately. Beautiful views and sunsets. Lots of toys. We used the paddle boards and floaty. The dock works for our little boat. We cooked our meals in the kitchen. We only went out to eat once. Quiet neighborhood. In all, it was very relaxed vacation. We will back next year.
The cottage is lovely - reminding me of one my Great Aunt owned on the South Shore. Warm, inviting, the hosts were extremely helpful and easy to reach when necessary. So many amenities to choose from and centrally located to everything we wanted to do. I would definitely rent this location again.
We truly enjoyed our stay. The home is a perfect getaway! Very cozy, quiet and the views are awesome. Harley and Sarah are wonderful hosts. Hoping to stay again in the future!
We really enjoyed the cabin, the owner was accessible and caring. We had everything we needed and then some. We will stay again soon. Thank you for your hospitality.
Very pretty location with beautiful views of Hubbard Lake. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen and the wonderful dock- many steps to it but that was not an issue for us. Our Aussies loved going down to the water too. We slept great and enjoyed bonfires in the evening. . Short stroll to the cute corner store and delicious pizza from Smokey’s were a treat.
We stayed for 4 days and did some last minute ice fishing.
The house was roomy with a fireplace with more than enough firewood. Beds were comfortable and the view was fantastic.
I would stay again and if your looking for a summer vacation get a way this is the place.
Very nice property just remember it's 50 steps down to the lake wasn't a problem for me but my wife could only do it a few times. Smokey's bar and grill right down the road. 2. Mi great place for dinner or cocktails makes things easy and fun!
Location was beautiful. House was in good shape but tv didn’t work. No problem. We spent time enjoying the ambiance and had a chance to unwind. Nice touch with the wine welcome. Wish the fishing was better though.
Our family of 4 had a great stay for our first time on Hubbard Lake for a family wedding. Dock and boat lift were perfect for our 17.5ft ski boat and access to swimming where other rentals don't allow boat tie up. Accessibility down the 52 stairs to the dock limited some visiting family but fine for us. We saw some dust bunnies from dogs that must have stayed before us but it didn't affect our stay. Home was fully equipped as expected. Harley was quick to respond when we had an issue with the refrigerator and we were very comfortable the entire week! Great spot on the water in a quiet community in the woods with sunset views.
The property was exactly as portrayed. Very well stocked with all necessities. Host were very helpful and friendly. The view from the kitchen sink had my wife wanting to do dishes all the time.😊
Did not turn on the TV once. Hiked; found some good restaurants in the area. Will come back but this time for more than one week. The fall colors were absolutely brilliant. The hosts were attentive and the house is just a great place to relax and read.
My wife, our 1 1/2 year-old Havapoo pooch, and myself had a wonderful stay at Whispering Pines cottage. The scenic location overlooking Hubbard Lake is beautiful and the cottage is surrounded by other impressive homes/cottages. The cottage was exactly what we were looking for with knotty pine paneling, comfortable beds, and other functional home furnishings and appliances. The cottage was clean and stocked with every convenience you would need for a successful multi-day visit at an Up North cottage. The communication with the owners was outstanding. Our experience was very enjoyable. We would definitely stay at Whispering Pines cottage again.
