"Very comfortable house and close to the places we wanted to hike. The kitchen is very compact, definitely a one-cook space, but it’s well equipped. Great cellar game room and 3 season porch that we couldn’t enjoy in the cold, unfortunately.Beds were comfortable and we all found what we liked, softer or firmer. Linens and towels were high quality. Total price was rather expensive for just 1.5 baths."

"This lake side house comes with an amazing family history. You feel welcomed from the moment you turn on the road. The lake view, sitting area, and dock are wonderful. And the large glass porch which looks out to the lake is the best! Wonderful walking areas right from the house. Very quiet there. Being dog friendly made my stay perfect! I met one of the original family who grew up in that house... AMAZING! The host and caretaker were always available if needed and I was greeted with a vase of flowers when I arrived. I'd always dreamed of staying with my dog in a house like this on a new england lake! "

"The cottage is nestled in the woods and is located just 10 minutes from Meredith. It is well-equipped and has just about everything that you need.The owner's house is down a path from the Cottage. They are gracious and allow lake access. They have a beautiful dock. It did feel a bit odd going down there because it is in their back yard. The cottage is great for 4-6 adults. Any more than that would probably feel crowded in the main areas of the cottage. There is a great screened in porch that we really enjoyed.The refrigerator has an ice maker; there is a k-cup and a regular drip coffee maker that takes regular filters (not the cone shaped). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!"

"We found it a well-appointed, beautiful and spacious rental home located on Wakondah Pond. After many years of renting various homes, I have to say this was one of the best, well-supplied, clean homes in which we have stayed. While it was a bit chilly when we were there to use the supplied kayaks on the lake, it was a delight to know that they were available. If it had been Summer, we definitely would have used the decks and the lakeside chairs longer and more frequently.Each room had its own temperature-regulated system so we were all very comfortable throughout the house. The rental gave the feeling of being isolated, but we were actually only a few miles from the town of Meredith and some great restaurants, which we frequented every evening.We have visited this area before and have always found new hiking trails and places to visit every year."

Lynne communicated so well with us, and we were so grateful to stay in her lovely Squam retreat. Access to the lake was great. Hiking is right there.
