About this property
Dog-friendly, FREE BIKES next to Historic Downtown
This apartment is one of five units in a completely renovated 1880's mansion and is sanitized between guests. It is a sun-filled pet-friendly unit on the second floor with large windows and old pine floors. Sit in the rocking chairs on the front balcony. The location is perfect, so close to the historic district with all the shopping, restaurants and bars, Bikes are available to roam around town. There is one guaranteed parking space. Dogs are allowed for a $40 pet fee per dog (max of 2)
This second floor apartment is in a charming historic home built in the 1880's, that was originally two houses and converted into five apartments decades ago. The property was completely renovated in 2018. You have a large, completely renovated, eat-in kitchen with all the pots/pans/dishes you need to cook (or not, you're on vacation!). A large new bathroom with a tile shower with glass doors and full size washer and dryer. The building is located in front of an elementary school. You'll love the charm of the home as well as all the conveniences. Your apartment is located on the 2nd floor, and there is nothing above you.
One of the best parts of the property is the large backyard, complete with picnic table, charcoal bbq grill and lots of other seating. It's got beautiful lighting in the backyard too.
This is a one bedroom apartment furnished with pretty antiques. There is the possibility of other sleep arrangements on the sofa bed. The sofa bed is a futon - which is probably too small for two adults. The primary bed is a very comfy queen with an antique iron bedstand.
********** We actively encourage our guests to purchase travel insurance.
We will only refund the booking for a hurricane threat if an evacuation is ordered in the area by the State of Florida. We experience threats nearly every other week during hurricane season, that rarely amount to anything.
Contracted Covid? That's why you need to purchase insurance. It will cover your booking reimbursement, and we hope you have a speedy recovery.
Your apartment is completely separate. You enter in the main door, and there are four apartments (two upstairs, two downstairs) in this part of the building. You have free use of the shared back yard, which has picnic tables and other seating, charcoal bbq grills and the shared bicycles, along with a funky pedicab where one of you can bike the spoiled person around. Flashing lights included!
We have a wonderful property manager, Gina, who lives a minute away and is available to answer any questions or provide any missing things. Can't find a corkscrew? Missing facecloths? They're all supposed to be there - just ask and if it's anything we can provide, we will. We want all of our guests to have a five star experience and it all starts by communication! We're also fully available by email or text. It's just that we're traveling too!
This is an interesting neighborhood. We're located right across the street from Ketterlinus Elementary school, so during recess time, you definitely hear the sound of the children, but it means it's pretty quiet at night. There's not a lot of street noise.
It's fun to sit outside on weekend nights and hear the music from downtown, but you don't hear it in the house.
We're in a neighborhood called Flagler's Model Land. Most of the houses in the neighborhood were built in the 1800's and some are very charming. Most of the area was originally owned by Henry Flagler, who played an important part of the growth of St. Augustine. Flagler College is also just a couple of blocks away.
We're a few minute walk to The Social Lounge and The Barley Republic, if you're looking for a drink. The food at The Barley Republic is very Irish and very tasty. Just a bit further and you get to our absolute favorite restaurant: Thai House & Sushi on Hypolita. Don't let the outside fool you with those ugly orange chairs. The food and the sushi is top notch, creative and delicious. Tell them Lindsey sent you!
We are less than two blocks from a trolley stop next to the Wax Museum, which most visitors to St. Augustine like to use to explore the city.
You are always welcome to park on the street in front of the house if there is room. If there's no parking, you also will have ONE assigned spot behind the property. Directions to the parking will be provided with your check-in instructions.
If you have a second car, we do have overflow parking for possibly one extra car on a first come, first serve basis. Parking permit is required. It's usually not a problem to find extra parking if you need to.
For longer trips around, Uber, taxis and pedicabs are readily available.
This is a wonderful old house, but these old houses weren't built with the same soundproofing that houses are now, so you may hear some noise. Events and parties are not allowed as a result. We do allow pets, so if you have severe allergies, you need to be aware of this. If you bring your dog, please make sure your dog is quiet. We can't allow constantly barking dogs to be left alone. If it's a problem, you'll have to take the dog with you. Make sure, as always, to clean up after your pet. Most importantly, enjoy yourself.

We had a great time. It was clean, well maintained, and perfect for a weekend holiday getaway. The host were easily approachable and helpful when booking. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a friendly and affordable stay.
Great location! Quiet cozy spot within walking distance to everything. The bed was very comfortable and I got a good nights sleep after wandering through old town. Will definitely stay here again when I come back to St Augustine!
We had a blast on our trip and couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Condo was in a great location and had everything we needed.

The location of this property was perfect! We walked nearly everywhere and used our car maybe once or twice.
One thing I didn’t realize was that this property was more of an apartment style where there are two units below and one right across from you. However that may of just been on me for not realizing that when booking— if they did mention that in the posting. We thought we were getting our own house/duplex but this is definitely more of an apartment style. Not a bad thing at all, just something to keep thought of. The unit still makes it feel like your own place.
We knew the property allowed dogs, but be forewarned that you can hear EVERYTHING… so there were about 2/4 days where we heard the unit across from ours, dog bark for hours on end during the day. Not the properties fault, but something to take note of if you are looking for a quieter place.
These aren’t negative things, just something to be aware of if you choose to book here. We still enjoyed the stay. The unit was nice and the location could not have been better. Parking for the most part was easy!
Benoit was very helpful in ensuring we were responded to quickly.

We will be returning in January because we enjoyed it so much
We had a great stay at this property. It was clean, had a great porch with rocking chairs, and had plenty of towels and anything else we needed. The people who run the property were very communicative as well. I will stay here again without a doubt the next time I am in St.Augustine :).
We really enjoyed the quiet retreat in spite of a very busy July 4th weekend in St. Augustine. Great location and easy access to food and entertainment!
Everything you could want or need is found in this rental. Location, kitchen, bath, equipment, WiFi…it’s all here. Comfortable, scrupulously clean, and even parking! I can’t compliment owner and staff enough.
We had a great time in St Augustine, only wish we could have stayed longer! The location was great for walking anywhere downtown and very clean and well maintained. Thank you for letting us enjoy your home while we enjoyed our trip!
This was the perfect location. It was central to the beaches, alligator farm, lighthouse and was walking distance to the historic downtown. Charming neighborhood and spotless interior. Easy communication and check in process.

3rd time we stayed at these Villas and as usual we enjoyed a lot and had a great stay. Quite and safe neighborhood- walkable to all main atractions. Property was neat and spotless, fast communication- we’ll be back again that’s for sure!
The property was in the perfect location. It was clean and everything we were looking for. The price was very reasonable. The owners were very easy to deal with. I would recommend this property for anyone looking for a place in St. Augustine.
My friend and I had the greatest stay celebrating our 40th birthdays and experiencing St Augustine for the first time! We went during the “Night of Lights” and the location was perfect. Short walk to all of historic St Augustine. Would love to go back. The hosts made everything easy and the place was very clean and comfortable
My wife and took our first vacation without kids in 33 years. The Villa was cozy with great amenities. It was very comfortable and clean The location on Mulvey Street is minutes of easy walking from the historic downtown. We were able to walk everywhere. Parking was easy enough too.
We really enjoyed our stay. The entire property was very well kept. The bed was super comfy too! Parking was not a concern. The location of this property is fantastic. Beautiful neighborhood and short walk to everything. We visit St Augustine a few times each year and this location is by far the best we have found. Would highly recommend this property to anyone planning to visit St Augustine!
We absolutely loved everything about this place. It's historical beauty has been maintained and the decor is so artistic and eclectic. Charming!!
The location is perfect and everything is walkable. The neighborhood is lovely.
The hosts/owners/manager were terrific - very responsive and extremely helpful and accommodating.
We had such a lovely time staying one of the second floor units. The apartment is very close and walkable to all of the tourist spots and restaurants, but it’s also a quiet and comfortable place to take a rest when you need it. We had a cozy coffee on the balcony each morning and then enjoyed everything the city had to offer for the rest of our visit. We’ll definitely stay here again if it’s available.
We had a great time. Everything in the owners control was perfect! The access to bikes, stocked units, and backyard area were perfect! We occupied three units and they were all great! I only wish we didn’t have 6:30am wake up calls with a motorcycle that backfires and then roars causing us to wake abruptly each morning. We also could hear late night arguing from the downstairs guests on the first night, but again, not something in the owners control. We’d definitely stay here again!
