Location was excellent for the holiday Nights of Lights, which was the purpose of our visit. Everything was very clean. Our room had a pirate theme. We would stay again if the needs arises.
The Pirate Haus is an old hostel and has the same vibe. Be aware that it is on the second floor of a building and the stairs are substantial. It is right in the heart of the old town and a great starting point for exploring on foot. The place is quite old with lots creaking floors etc. There is a hostel style kitchen and a common lounge. No TVs in the rooms. It was clean and the staff/owner was very welcoming. Not everyones cup of tea but we have stayed in a lot of hostels over the years and quite liked this one. Make sure to arrange for parking behind the building as it can be difficult otherwise.
Great location, exciting atmosphere, and a friendly, helpful staff. The closet was a touch scary but the Pirate Haus Inn was an otherwise perfect spot for a group of young travelers.
This property is amazing and us and our girls had the best time! Rooms are clean, location is great and the staff and service was above and beyond what we expected. Much thanks to Dawn for the pancakes, treasure hunt and making our girls’ birthday very special!
Hans was a great hostess to me and my family. Great place to stay! Clean, great location and great customer service. Very easy to check in, Highly recommended!!! Had a great experience overall
Highly recommend! The room was very clean, the theme was super cute and the service was amazing. Very family friendly and accommodating to our needs. We will visit again!
Loved this place! It is right in the middle of downtown, you can walk to everything. They have an option for nearby parking for a reasonable fee or free parking in garage a few blocks away. It's operated like a B&B and the staff is great. It is a historic building, not fancy but eclectic, fun, clean, comfortable.

Go with an open mind and you will be fine. Have fun and walk around.
This historical bldg is a unique property. Run down, yes, but clean and not too shabby. Being greeted at the door of the accommodation and led through the streets to private parking was a unique experience. Pirate theme heavily evident thruout facility. Included pancake breakfast was a treat.

Great stay
Great location right in the heart of the historic area. Very friendly staff and easy check in process. It’s a no frills place so if you want more comforts of home and plan to spend lots of time in the room- this isn’t the place for you. It’s an old building and noise carries easily. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will book again.
Hann was very friendly and professional and made our stay very enjoyable. Her pancakes every morning were very tasty and fun for the entire family. The rooms were very neat and very nicely decorated. The only issue to point out would be the bathrooms, they do need a bit of a makeover. Location is great and they provide afforable parking right behind the property.
The Pirate Haus was the friendliest place we ever stood at. The staff was amazing. We felt right at home. Very clean. Every room as a Pirate theme. Kid friendly. Comfortable beds. Close to everything.
Great for kids. Each room had a puzzle to lead to clues find a prize. Old but great pirate themed rooms. Pancakes for breakfast. Right in the middle of the old city.
Our stay was an amazing experience. After a few bad hotels, being here was a breath of fresh air. Once we arrived, hospitality was great. The 6 of us were comfortable. The kids enjoyed looking at all the things and our littlest loved the community living room. The breakfast pancakes were outstanding. The location is just perfect in the historic area. Lots of things just walking distance. We enjoyed it enough we stayed an extra night.
