We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful and homely accommodation. The room was well kept. The breakfast was superb. There are peaceful water gardens behind the hotel. The staff (and dogs!) were very welcoming

Great countryside B&B

Great service and really good breakfast. Clean and modern room. Lovely garden. The only downside was that I tried to contact the hotel a few days before arrival but they did not reply to my e-mail or return my call.

Very enjoyable and a clear recommendation

We stayed one night on our journey into Cornwall and enjoyed it very much. Service was friendly and efficient, the room was very clean and spacious with a view to the beautiful (small Heligan) gardens, and the food was really delicious. We definitely can recommend the Waterwheel Inn and have it on our list for the next time we come to Cornwall.

So friendly and welcoming

The staff are so welcoming and friendly. We got there early in the pouring rain and they let us in rather than make us wait. The food was delicious with huge portions. Our dog was made welcome and had plenty of fuss and the hotels dog Kernow was beautiful too. Our room was a little small but that is what we had booked so was down to us. Yes we would definately return, it was central to loads of things to do and beaches and the other guests staying there were chatty and friendly. Lovely stay.....thank you.

The best B&B in Cornwall

So if you’re reading this review you’re probably considering staying at the Waterwheel. My advice … stop reading this review and just book it now. If you want to read more though, read on. The Waterwheel is probably my favourite B&B I have ever stayed in. It’s Gorgeous inside, the staff are wonderfully friendly and attentive, and the garden is a tranquil and relaxing haven. I was somewhat sceptical that it would be with a busy (by Cornwall standards) road next to the Inn but it never bothered me or my fiancé once. The rooms are spotless clean, the showers are powerful and refreshing and the breakfast is wonderful. It’s location is a great point to explore Cornwall from and I highly recommend this accommodation to anyone who. A massive thank you to the Waterwheel team for their hospitality over the last three nights, especially Donna, who really made us feel at home.

This was our second visit. That should tell you something. We again liked the inn with good variety of of breakfast options, room was spacious, plenty of free parking. It was convenient for the attractions we wanted to visit. Dinner, optional extra, is available and very good quality. We would like to visit again.
