The remodeled room was great. The bed and bedding were excellent. There was a lot of construction and the laundry facilities were unable to be used, which was a bit of a problem. The staffe was excellent, it was very clean. The smoking area by the front doors was a problem. Every time we left and entered we were walking through cigarette smoke from people sitting on the benches smoking and discarding the used cigarettes in the flower pot by the font door.

The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, our TV wouldn't work with our Google Chrome, but the hotel's stations were OK. The shower door wouldn't stay closed, so we hung a towel over the top of the shower to keep it almost closed. The breakfast menu was delightful. We both had waffles, and I enjoyed 3 kinds of fruit topping. The bacon was thin, crispy and delicious and the eggs were good with some Cholula Cilantro and Lime hot sauce.

We were recently visiting friends in Illinois. We stayed at this Fairfield Inn for the first time. We’ve traveled a lot this summer, and this was the best hotel we stayed at! Great location - tons of shopping, restaurants and things to do and see close by. The hotel pool was under construction, so we weren’t able to access it, which was fine. Front desk staff were lovely! Very friendly and accommodating. Our room was spacious and spotless. Beds were super comfortable with plenty of pillows. Bathroom was clean and the towels were plentiful and big. The complimentary breakfast had lots of hot and cold choices. There was breakfast sandwiches AND scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes and breakfast meat (bacon or sausage) served hot everyday. The attendant was so kind and welcoming each morning. He kept everything well stocked. We had a great stay all around. We visit family in Illinois every year, so we will definitely be back. We’ve never stayed at the Fairfield Inn chain, but I absolutely would recommend it. I highly recommend this hotel!

The room was good. Plenty of room. The bathroom needed some work. However they had several crews working on up grading the bathrooms, they just didn’t get to my room yet. The free breakfast was fantastic. The staff very friendly and helpful. Good place to stay.

The Fairfield in St Charles IL (across from Geneva Commons) is amazingly improved over the last year under new ownership. The building and the rooms have been refreshed and that prior 1990's aging decor is GONE. New place is beautiful. Still under some renovations at this time, but the refresh is excellent. The staff is another area of upgraded improvement! Michelle, the GM, was so helpful on the phone and in person. Consistently. If you've stayed here before and been disappointed, give it another try. Well worth it.
