  • Escape the craze and join us for a relaxing stay at DuneStruck on St George Island. The home was built by one of the areas renowned builders and fully renovated in 2015 and featured in the 2016 St George Island Tour of Homes. DuneStruck is the best of an “old world” Florida home while offering the best modern features of a renovated home. From the moment you enter the door, the tasteful wood paneling, expansive views and updated features of this home will start your vacation off right.

    The first floor includes the main living area with a large picture window viewing the Gulf of Mexico. The beachside bedroom features a king size bed with its own sliding door opening to the deck. The back bedroom features its own kingsize bed and ensuite bathroom. An updated kitchen includes a large refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, stove and an ice maker to save on those extra bags of ice!. The dining room opens to a screened in porch with its own table offering the opportunity for al fresco dining! The laundry room and an additional bath is also on the first level.

    The expansive master suite is upstairs and offers it's own expansive views of the Gulf of Mexico. The master bath offers a step in shower, double vanities and a private water closet. There is also a balcony from which amazing sunsets can be watched.

    A private boardwalk to the beach is just at the bottom of the deck stairs for only DuneStruck guests to enjoy.

    DuneStruck guests may enjoy all the Plantation amenities: community pool, fitness center, tennis courts, and more than 12 miles of paved biking and walking trails. The community pool, clubhouse and fitness center are just a leisurely 2 minute walk from DuneStruck!

    Please note that motorcycles and golf carts are not allowed in The Plantation when driven by rental guests.

Incredible location and home.

The wildlife was outstanding and an every day occurrence (dolphins, crabs, manta rays, etc). The area was very safe and had wonderful facilities. We are planning our next trip back.

Wonderful vacation

Had a great time on SGI. This is our second time staying here; continues to be my favorite vacation location. The house is located on the beach and also a short walk or bike ride from neighborhood pool, tennis court, and clubhouse. Great house that had everything our family needed.

Picture perfect view!

Sit on the couch in the living room, look out the window, and you will have to remind yourself that you are not looking at a painting. Absolutely beautiful view! So relaxing and convenient to be right on the beach. We loved the house and it was easy to communicate with Buck. We will definitely stay here again.

Best vacation in years

This is a unique property with beautiful woodwork and attractive comfortable decor. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to enjoy many gulf coast seafood meals in the screened in porch. The property's location in The Plantation was conducive to enjoying lots of time outdoors in the beautiful island environment. It was a very restful and peaceful trip with mostly great weather for us.

Great week

Very nice property, very well stocked for cooking and enjoying the beach. Three couples stayed in this property. The three bedrooms allowed privacy. The screened porch was a favorite feature. We also enjoyed having access to the downstairs storage area for storage of our bicycles. Very close to the community pool and fitness center. Enjoyed dinners on both the indoor and outdoor tables.

Beach house in a gated community.

This is a very comfortable house right on the beach. Nice walking trails and a good location on a quiet (off season) island. Pictures were accurate . The kitchen was especially well equipped and nicely updated. The mattresses were good. The owner was quickly responsive.

Breathtaking views

Due Struck was a beautiful location with amazing views from multiple windows in the house. The house had ample space in the kitchen and eating areas. The porch overlooking the ocean had comfortable seating options. A couple of things were in the process of being repaired, but Buck communicated that with us and they didn’t take away from our stay.

Fun times!

The house was nice and it was clean. Loved how close it was to the ocean, we saw beautiful sunrises. Only one complaint the six of us only had one towel and washcloth each. The wash clothes were very worn and thin, other than that it was all very good.

Great Escape

To look out each day at the beautiful Gulf of Mexico was superb. The house was right on the beach-just steps down the boardwalk. Our host was quick to respond to any question we posed and was very personable. The kitchen and baths were beautiful and very up to date. The kitchen had anything you might want to complete a meal. Absolutely the only thing I would change would be the ability to open the windows(even in February) so I could sleep to the sound of the surf. You will not regret choosing DuneStruck.

Absolutely perfect!!

This house is unbelievably great. The home itself is wonderful with lots of natural wood, comfy furniture and a great kitchen. Every detail is considered such as charging ports next to the beds, signs for what light switch is for what etc etc etc The main amazing feature is being literally steps from the beach. It’s even closer than what the pictures on the listing look like. I’ve been vacationing on the gulf coast for 40 yrs and this is by far my favorite home ever!! We hope to be back!!

The ideal beach house

The upstairs bedroom/bath area is the best! Windows overlooking the beach during the day, and starlit skies at night. No reason to ever close the blinds. The house has all the amenities you need. Clean and comfortable. A bathroom for each bedroom. Well stocked kitchen. This was our second visit to Dunestruck. But I was familiar with the house when friends rented it previously. We have stayed in several homes on the island over the past ten years, but this one is the best, hands down.The owner has always been available and helpful, Thank you!

A Magnificent Location

Of all the many beach houses we have stayed in this one had the best combination of having everything we wanted inside and outside. Inside the kitchen was well stocked and even the knives were sharp! The upstairs main bedroom/bath was fantastic and you can't beat the view. The steps to the beach were as short as I have ever seen. One thing of note - you are right next to a beach access boardwalk where the inland groups access the beach - so you might want to put your beach gear out early so you don't end up with people in front of your house. Buck (property manager) was very responsive and helpful with the few minor things that came up. You absolutely can't go wrong with Dunestruck!

Such a gem!

This was our first time on St. George Island and we chose it for the quiet location and it did not disappoint! We visited in August after the locals were back in school and we loved our stay. Buck was fantastic to work with and went out of his way to address minor issues that were out of his control, even making a trip down while we were there. The house was absolutely fantastic, so close to the beach which was absolutely beautiful and quiet and the screened in porch was a great place! It was extremely hot and muggy but the house was still comfortable especially the master bedroom with the extra AC unit. The kitchen had everything we needed and the ice maker as other reviews stated is something that now I want in every place we stay. The beds were extremely comfortable and I meant to see what kind of pillows were on the master bed as they were great and I am picky about pillows. The master bathroom was great too. Overall we loved our stay and would definitely return! Buck was quick to respond and it is evident they strive to provide a good experience for their guests.

Perfection!!!

My family and I LOVED this house! We tend to be rather picky when it comes to beach homes, and this one checked every box. Soft, comfortable beds, an amazing kitchen to cook in, comfortable clean furniture, lots of storage, and location!!! There were dolphins outside, feet away, nearly everyday. The ocean was mere steps away and stunning. My parents brought their dog and it was spacious and comfortable for 4 adults and a large dog. We could have invited more friends/family to stay! We contacted Buck prior to our stay with concerns about hurricane Idaliah just passing through and he was super responsive about the drive in and current state of the island. The most minor downside would be there being no dressers in the two ground floor bedrooms, but we'd much rather have had the two large king sized beds! The town itself is small and fun to explore. Everyone was so friendly, and it was such a great deal to us that nearly all places in town are dog friendly. Thank you so much for letting us stay in your beautiful home. We all hope to return again soon!

My whole family fell in love with St. George Island on this trip! It is the perfect combination of a not-at-all-crowded beach, yet excellent restaurants nearby. The beach is gorgeous and there were more than a few times we had it all to ourselves. We saw dolphins every single day. While out snorkeling, we saw that the ocean floor was littered with hundreds of live sand dollars! We had never seen anything like it before. The Blue Parrot was our favorite! It's hard to beat amazing food served beach side! BJ's has amazing pizza, and whatever you do, don't forget to try out Beach Pit for breakfast! On the one rainy day we had, we took the kids to the arcade on the island and they had a blast! Apalachicola is just a short drive away with its amazing restaurants, unique shops to explore, live music in the evenings, and even a local brewery. Dunestruck is the perfect house for a couple of families vacationing together. It's the perfect, spacious layout to enjoy comfortable family time together, while also ensuring everyone has space to be alone when they want. The view of the beach from the enormous picture windows is simply spectacular. The kitchen is large and well-stocked, which is wonderful for those nights when you just want to stay in and cook. My favorite feature is the never-ending deck space and large screened-porch, perfect for relaxing at any time of day. We can't wait to come back!
