"Arrived early as no traffic on drive. Asked about early check-in and said rooms not ready, come back later and maybe. Asked if room would have a view (booked 6+ months earlier). No but for 65 pounds more yes. Also we could let them know at check-in as lots available. Went and asked at 2:00 room ready-not yet. Went and asked at 2:30. Your room doesn’t allow you till 3:00. Not a good 1st impression "

"Small double room with a perfect sea view. Our room was very clean and comfortable but could a done with a new window and a paint job. They is a bar and lounge area with a nice view, but we didn’t visit it. Parking behind the hotel but limited and you need to book it in advance. There is a lift up to the 2nd floor which is a blessing if you have lots of luggage. The staff are polite and welcoming. Ideal location to visit the town and beach a stones throw away! We didn’t have breakfast but it was £12 and you need to book before the night. Complimentary tea and coffee and milk and sugar and built in soap and body wash dispensers. Great value st £100 a night for a double with sea view. Could have done with more space by the wi how to admire the view in our room."

"A lovely few days in St Ives. Helpful friendly staff perfect location on the harbour breakfast was excellent and even won a few few lines at the lifeboat inn bingo night. Would definitely recommend and go again."

"Room 16: There was lots of fluff on the floor of our room, it needed a wet clean as well as vacuuming the basin in the bathroom was very impractical, the shelf above needs to be removed to allow access. the bed needs changing the right hand side has collapsed and leaning outwards. (We did not sleep well) 10/10 for the staffs they have been great with us."

"Room 4 was smaller than expected, it’s deluxe but there was nothing deluxe about it. We stayed for 2 nights and it was okay for the price we paid. Other guests leaving really early made loads of noise by slamming their door and the front doors. "

"The cottage was beautiful and very comfortable. The beds were great, showers great and the log burner was a real treat in wintry weather."

"The cottage was very good. It had everything you could need and was warm and cosy. Decent heating in every room (often not the case!) and was spotless on arrival. All the small details had been thought of which made a difference, and things like washing powder for the machine, salt for cooking, tea and sugar for when you first arrive were all appreciated. Plenty of bedding, including spares if needed. Host was helpful and responsive. An excellent stay and we will definitely be back "
