Every thing was great! We loved the quiet side of coral bay. The house had all we needed. Host was quick responsive with questions. Great instructions on finding the place. Clean and comfortable.
House was perfect for 4 people. Great views from the patio. Host was very helpful and responded quickly to our requests. Will stay again.Make sure you rented a real 4x4 to get to the property.
This is an unbelievably beautiful property with million dollar views, a pool, and some of the worlds most beautiful beaches nearby. Overlooking Coral Bay with some really fun places to eat and food shopping. Our host David was fantastic and friendly and the property manager Kara was so nice and very helpful.
The house was exactly as described, clean with amazing views and in a perfect location. We were close to restaurants and grocery but yet it was a super private location. Kara, the property manager was fantastic as well. We are definitely coming back to St John and when we do we will be staying here again.
Strenuous ride up but so worth it. Well stocked kitchen, very comfortable bed, wonderful view and screened porch. The view from the deck was breathtaking. Hoping to return next year. Most relaxing vacation ever

very nice house and view
great place to stay amazing views of the bay
Was lost for over two hours trying to find the place and without address cell phone could not direct us there.
Wonderful property with incredible views and quiet and great access to cinnamon and maho beaches and annanberg. All the home amenities you expect. Want for nothing.
My friend and I had a fantastic stay at Anchorage Aweigh! The villa was clean and very comfortable. It was the perfect size for us. The view was amazing, and we loved sitting outside listening to the various animals. We went to different beaches early in the morning to avoid the crowds and then enjoyed the pool in the afternoons. The road to the villa and the driveway are very steep, but we quickly got used to it. I highly recommend this villa!
A beautiful home with all amenities of home along with a gorgeous view and wonderful pool.
Such a great place to rent for a week. We rented Oct 26, 2024 - Nov 1, 2024. Rented a car from St Thomas, took the ferry over to St John. We had an unusual week of esrain and still had a great time. The view over Coral Bay beats any restaurant view, so we utilized the kitchen all week except for 3-4 times. Highly recommended!!!💕
We enjoyed our stay and had fantastic weather throughout the week! Our group of four adults had very comfortable sleeping arrangements - both bedrooms had brand new king size beds and linens! Good communication from owners and property management company to ensure our checkin and checkout went smoothly. We arrived later in evening and received texts to ensure we got in ok. We became very good at getting up and down the steep driveway during the week. Strongly recommend four wheel drive vehicle to get around all of St John’s.
We enjoyed the location but the roads are so narrow and crazy! Hard at first to get used to driving on the left. Groceries very spendy it is more cost effective to go out to eat than making your own meals.
Was our second time staying at this property and it was amazing as expected. Convenient to everything in Coral Bay, relaxing, and we'll appointed. The property is starting to show signs of age/use and some reinvestment definitely needs to be made in terms of the living room furniture, closet doors that are broken, paint touch up, etc. Would still highly recommend this property but hope to see some improvements before we visit again in the future.
Everything about Anchors Aweigh exceeded our expectations. The location overlooking Coral Bay, St.John is breathtaking! We especially enjoyed the beautiful pool area and the multiple outdoor spaces on both levels. The well stocked kitchen made our meal preparation easy and enjoyable. The property managers checked in on us via text messages to make sure we had everything we needed. The photos on the listing are a100% accurate representation of the property. We had a great time!
This was our second time staying at Anchorage Aweigh and it already feels like a home away from home. I could not imagine staying anywhere else while on island. The check in process was seamless, though, we have already been here before and knew how to navigate the switchbacks up to the house. I was able to do yoga on the deck overlooking coral bay and it was a dream. We enjoyed the pool and the nice cool bedrooms at night (power cooperated!). We love the 'noises' of Coral Bay (chickens, goats, frogs/crickets at night). Management was easy to communicate with and I would highly recommend anyone stay here!
Great house! Just high enough on the hill to have privacy and a great view. It was nice to have the two bedrooms separated. The pool is fantastic - the entire thing was about 5 feet deep. Plantings and umbrella were placed so there was almost always some bit of shade for those of us who burn easily. All items related to the house were as described in the listing and everything was clean and neat. Convenient to town. Loved it and would definitely stay here again! Potential guests should note that there are inside stairs down to the pool level, and we would definitely recommend a 4-wheel drive vehicle to navigate up to the house.
What a great house with a beautiful view! Communication with both the owner and property manager was easy. We were met in Coral Bay and taken to the house on our arrival day. Had groceries delivered and they were put away for us House was great! We ate most of our dinners and all our breakfasts at the house on the porch. Could not ask for a better view! Pool was great after a day at the beach. Showers were awesome. Would definitely recommend Anchorage Aweigh.
The villa was most comfortable. The covered decks allowed awesome views of Coral Bay and mountains. The drive up was a bit of a challenge because of the switchbacks but we are used to St.John drives after 10 plus years visiting there.
We met the very nice owner since he was in his private house nearby. Our villa was completely
private. Everything you need for a day at the beach was provided. Sean on island manager very responsive for our need with assistance with tv remote.
The villa was beautiful and very well-kept. We loved the view of Coral Bay. The kitchen was clean and well-equipped, the beds comfortable and the living room very nice. The pool was beautiful. There were many sitting areas in the outdoor living spaces, which we loved. We were met by the property manager and escorted to the villa when we arrived, which was perfect because otherwise we would not have found the place on our own. Though a bit scary, we felt comfortable with the steep and curvy hill to the villa after about a day. We suggest that you get your groceries at Starfish Market in Cruz Bay. This had the best selection of all of the markets. All in all a great stay.

Great Villa, terrible directions
This villa is wonderful. Two floors with separate bedrooms and bathrooms with outdoor shower just like the photos. The drive is trecherous to the villa and the driveway is steep and difficult to find. Even a piece of reflective tape or breadcrumbs would have been helpful. The property manager was in transition and insisted droppping a pin would take us to the villa, but you need cell reception for that to work. We thought we would be met and shown where to go. It was dark and no lighting along the last 4 turns. It took us several days to remember the trees and landmarks to get to the villa consistently,. The property itself is fabulous and the view is wonderful. In hindsight, I would rent closer to Cruz Bay in the future, thats where all the action is.
If you stay in Coral Bay, stay here! From the wonderful deck with a beautiful view of the bay, to the refreshing pool, our stay was sooo nice. The place it clean, the air conditioning in the bedrooms keep you cool, and the beds are comfortable. The location is just up a hill from Skinny Legs and Rhumb lines and Lime Out and a short drive to the North Beaches and Salt Pond Bay. You also may get some cute visitors around the property of goats and chickens. The pool off the lower level was lovely to float in for the days that you just want to hang out and relax. The management was very responsive. There were a couple of power outages on the Island and the management sent the times when aware. (Hopefully these are resolved). There are umbrellas, chairs and coolers provided for your days at the beaches. My twin daughters enjoyed having the downstairs bedroom near the pool. The driveway is a bit steep but you get used to it. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend this house for your vacation.
The property manager was great at communicating. When we got off the ferry, grabbed the jeep and hit the grocery store, we let them know we were heading that way, they met us at the welcome to Coral Bag sign and we followed them to the house. They gave us the rundown. When the wifi stopped working one day, we sent a text and they were on it- it wasn’t in their control.
The house views are to die for! Definitely need bug spray outside, but that is everywhere. The house had everything we needed. We did learn it is best to have one person shower at a time and don’t run other water, but that is the life of cisterns for water and everywhere on the island. We cooked most nights. We loved being remote. Don’t expect nice restaurants close, but Skinny Legs at the bottom of the hill had great burgers. We loved being close to little lamshur bay for snorkeling and went twice! Definitely need a 4wd for the island.
Being close to dockside dingny was nice for going to Ine Out to eat. Everything we needed was close but other than grabbing more snacks, drinks and things to cook, we were set.
Highly recommend!!
