Wonderful week!

Great location near Coral Bay, super close to the market, restaurants, as well as some incredible beaches such as Salt Pond. Very clean property and check in and out was smooth. The deck was very well-kept, and they had all the amenities needed for a great stay. Would absolutely stay at Blue Wrasse again!

Spectacular view!

This is a lovely property. It is private and well stocked. The outstanding view from the deck, especially at sunrise, offsets the 86, slippery when wet, steps to get to the cottage. The location is get. We are partial to the Coral Bay area. So, this was a great find.

A needed break before xmas

What a beautiful view! I didn’t know there would be so many steps down to the cottage but we got our flights in each day. Secluded and felt private even though there are residences on either side. Would stay again but couldn’t do it if one had knee problems.

Another fantastic stays at the Blue Wrasse

This was our 2nd time staying at Blue Wrasse. We love the Coral Bay side of St John and this home is perfect for the 2 of us. Great views and amenities- exactly as described and pictured. Thank you again for a wonderful stay- we will definitely be back again!

Wonderful Stay

Blue Wrasse is the perfect place to stay if you want to get away from the busier Cruz Bay side of the island. The view is fantastic but still conveniently close to the stores and restaurants of Coral Bay. Tom and Jackie, the property managers, were so nice and helpful and gave us lots of tips on what to see and where to go. Will definitely be back next time I’m on St John!

1st Trip to St. John

This was our 1st trip to STJ and Blue Wrasse did not disappoint. The cottage description and details shared were spot, making our trip that much more enjoyable. It felt like were living in a tree house. The views of Coral Bay and the surrounding islands were spectacular! If you like a low key vibe while on vacation, the east side of the island is a great choice.

Cute Cottage with Breathtaking View!

We never grew tired of the spectacular view! We loved the open-air bathroom, and the cute cottage had everything we needed, even equipment for the beach and snorkeling. As per the description, the 99 steps were not for the faint of heart, but it led to a little piece of paradise!

Wonderful view

The place was amazing. It was a fun secluded cottage with just about every amenity covered. Certainly not a complaint but be aware that the bedroom ceilings are quite low. My partner is 6’ and bumped his head in the dark a few times. Beautiful place!

Amazing view of Coral Bay, cottage is surrounded by island nature

We had such an amazing time in St. John staying at Blue Wrasse cottage. We really enjoyed this small cottage like home. Very quite & conveniently located. We loved sitting on the swing in the evenings. Property manager was extremely quick & helpful with all questions we had. The stairs aren't that bad, we got use to them quickly and they were a good wake up in the mornings. Would recommend & hopefully we'll be back soon.

Wonderful vacation property

My family of five stayed at the Blue Wrasse Villa and loved it! The views are amazing, and we appreciated all the details in the home. The cottage is very well appointed. We enjoyed eating breakfast and dinner on the beautiful deck, relaxing in the porch swing, and sleeping in the fun loft and cozy downstairs apartment space. We were grateful for all the beach equipment provided - snorkeling gear, beach chairs, football, etc. My husband and I honeymooned on St. John ten years ago, and we took our kids (ages 8, 7, 6) back for our 10th anniversary. This was the perfect place to stay and celebrate together!

Great stay with a great view!

Blue Wrasse Cottage was very comfortable, in a great central location on the island, and has a great deck and view! We really enjoyed our stay and it was perfect for 2 couples. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking meals, and making coffee to enjoy on the deck in the morning was great! The cottage has shade in the afternoon which is nice after a long day at the beach. The owner, John, was very easy to contact and very helpful. The on island managers, Tom & Jackie, were really helpful and kind. Coral Bay is a great location for accessing the whole island, and there are great restaurants and nearby grocery stores. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it!

Cozy and clean cottage in paradise

Our stay at Blue Wrasse was a trip non of us will forget. The cottage is extremely clean and comfortable. We had our two sons with us, ages 5 and 9. We enjoyed the view in the morning with a cup of coffee in hand. It's quiet and extremely private. The location is close to many of the beautiful beaches the island has to offer. There are a few grocery stores nearby and Aqua Bistro is the local eatery complete with live music and great food. I highly recommend this place to anyone considering it. We are planning on returning in the near future and will be booking our stay here again.

Delightful cottage overlooking Coral Bay

We spent five nights here visiting St. John and were very happy with the place. It's cozy and charming, the porch is perfect for lounging and enjoying the weather, and the bed is very comfy. We were grateful for the beach towels and snorkeling gear provided. It's a healthy climb down on the stairs leading to it so make sure you're up to that. And I would also just note that the water pressure in the shower and faucets is quite low (this is common for the island, though) and that you'll have to bring in your own drinking water. All worth it for the wonderful location and island breezes up here. Also a lovely family of hermit crabs in the garden. The owner/groundskeepers are very quick to respond to questions. All in all a great stay.

Fantastic cottage

Wonderful location for our week-long trip to Saint John. Just a quick ride down the hill to Coral Bay for easy access to the east end restaurants and only 10-15 minutes from the south side beaches. The cottage is small in size but has grand in views. I had planned several locations to take sunrise photos, but ended up sitting on the deck with my coffee every morning because the view of Coral Bay with the BVIs on the horizon were so beautiful. My kids loved the cute, anols/lizards and hermit crabs that hung around outside near the deck. Has all the necessities. including snorkel gear, beach chairs and a cooler. If you're not elderly or very young children, the stairs were fine - very well lit at night. The photos are very accurate. Highly recommend!

Loved it!

We are just returning from a week at Blue Wrasse. This was the perfect home base for us. Our kids are 8 and 10 and loved the downstairs bedroom to call their own. We (parents) felt like kids again in the loft space. The cottage is in close proximity to restaurants and markets in town (3-5 mins) and a beautiful drive to beaches within 20-25 minutes. We spent our week exploring the island, finding a different beach each day, and always found our return to Blue Wrasse to feel like home with the most incredible view. You can easily cook in or eat out. Wi-Fi is great if you need it. Cruz Bay is an easy 25 minutes - the drive itself is an adventure so you would never even know 25 minutes had gone by…If you are looking for a place to feel connected to nature and disconnect from the busy day to day, this is it! Thank you for sharing your beautiful island home.

Lovely Stay at the Blue Wrasse

We had a wonderful 5 night stay at the Blue Wrasse. Tom and Jackie, the care takers of the cottage, go above and beyond to make your stay amazing! They had decorated the cottage for our son’s 6th birthday and left presents out for our arrival making for a very special start to our vacation. We loved sitting in the swing and looking out at coral bay in the mornings before heading out for a day of snorkeling at all of the amazing places on St John. There are a lot of steps to get down to the cottage, but worth it. Google maps will take you to a dirt road not near the cottage. Mapquest will take you to the correct road, but look for the driveway and clearly marked blue wrasse sign before you get to the destination. Wear lots of sunscreen and bring bug spray, even with screens a few little mosquitoes tried to infiltrate the cottage in the evenings. Loved our stay and already planning our next trip back!

Cute, cozy cottage in ideal location for easy access to beaches and hiking trails.

Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay in this cozy cottage. The cottage was well maintained and clean. Probably the cleanest VRBO we have ever rented. Initially we felt a bit cramped, but after we made a couple of furniture rearrangements there was plenty of floor space to move. The only caution I would mention is to be prepared to bump your head if you are tall. My husband (6' 7") and son (6' 3") bumped their heads numerous times due to the loft and the ceiling downstairs not being quite high enough for them. We do realize that our family is unusually tall, so for the majority of vacationers this would not be an issue. Just something that we thought may be helpful for those who may be of similar height. We really enjoyed the peacefulness of the area, but yet the easy access to many beaches (via automobile). The deck was perfect for us all to enjoy both breakfasts and suppers. It truly was a great place to promote family togetherness and rejuvenate our family's bond.

Incredible View!

* Cozy and quiet. * Amazing view of Coral Bay. * The property has two floors. Downstairs is a bedroom/bath while the upstairs kitchen/living room with upstairs bed loft. * 88 stairs from the driveway lead to the property. Well lit at night. Little bit of a workout so plan your getaways carefully so you don't forget something. * Property was well maintained and property managers Tom/Jackie were superb. Provided assistance quickly when needed and were a joy to converse with. Gave helpful tips about the island and places to visit. * Be sure to follow instructions to find the property. Google Maps will get you close to the location but the driving instructions that you will be provided must be followed. * Overall, we were impressed with the property and had a very comfortable stay.

Blue Wrasse Cottage - up and downsides

Cottage has beautiful location and smartly-equipped kitchen. The deck is amazing and everything it was described to be. Beds are lumpy and not exceedingly comfortable. The toddler bed which had been pictured in marketing photos was in fact not available and a very inadequate, infant sized portable crib for our 3 year old was instead provided. My biggest concern is that we did not hear that the water was not potable until we landed (late) and could not be sure we were even going o get to a grocery store in time to have anything to drink after long parched journey. For a party of 6, this was an exceedingly inconvenient and wasteful (plastic wise especially with limited recycling on the island) "detail" and people should be informed of it with the overall property description to make a fair choice for their party. In contrast to some of the inadequacies, the property manger, Kate, was extremely responsive and helpful!

Cute Treehouse with a View

This place was adorable and the perfect size for me and my husband on our anniversary trip! The beauty of this home starts before you even get there with this amazing couple who takes care of the home. They go over and beyond to make you feel welcomed! It first starts off with them sending you a text letting you know that they are awaiting your arrival, which is a great added touch. Then the welcome party committee continues when you get there with fresh flowers in all the vases, beach towels arranged in a hotel way, shampoo, body wash and even fingernail clippers! I swear to you I could have just shown up with my bathing suit and I would have been perfect! And the view was OUT OF THIS WORLD. Its a must to be here for sunrise and sunset both are worth watching. This house was exactly what we were wanting just basic and adventure like atmosphere. I seriously can not say enough about the caretakers or the home! PS. Tom and Jakieat(probably butchered your name spelling! SORRY!) Have a super cute jewelry place with AMAZING prices down by the Dolphin Market down the street from the house and you should definitely go check it out!
