A great week on St. John

We greatly enjoyed our week on St. John, the stay in Casa YaYa, and the additional rental of their truck. The home was as advertised...very clean, in great shape, and awesome views from high on the hillside above Coral Bay. Everything worked, having chairs, snorkel gear, and coolers avaiable was a big help as were the washer/dryer. While we did use the pool, our only mild complaint was it was too cold to stay in.for long. Otherwise, we enjoyed St. John a ton, went to many beaches, saw lots of fish, turtles, rays, even a barracuda! Will be back again...

Casa Ya Ya - so hard to leave!

We took the family for our first USVI stay. Kids ages 10 and 6. This property delivered the ideal experience for our group. We loved the location, away from crowds and noise, yet close to conveniences like groceries and restaurants. We loved the private pool and beautiful patio for stargazing and enjoying the views of coral bay. One of the best stocked kitchens we have seen in a rental helped produce some home cooked meals to remember too! Would definitely book here again if back in St John.

Love This Property!

The first thing you will notice is the fantastic view of Coral Bay, but there is so much more to love about Casa Ya Ya. The proximity to restaurants and stores, the patio and pool, the kitchen with every appliance/accessory you need...I could go on and on. The owners and the on-island crew are helpful and available whenever you need something. This was our second time at this property and we can't wait to come back.

Great Value!

Reasonable rates for a beautiful place on top of the quiet side of the island. The truck rental was a great value add, especially with the airport pickup/dropoff. Jeff (the host) was super responsive to any and all questions we had, including some great recommendations on restaurants and charters. Still one of my favorite places to visit and I'm sure we'll be back!

Magical Vacation

We had a fabulous vacation at Casa Yaya. Things we liked the best: The spectacular views, the wonderful breezes, the privacy for two couples traveling together, the convenience to restaurants in Coral Bay, the pool, the view of the stars at night from the deck lounge chairs, the swings. The kitchen was well-equipped, the property was clean, and the property manager was very responsive.

Perfect Family Vacation

My family of four stayed at Casa Yaya for a week, and we throughly enjoyed our stay. The house was perfect for our young family (children age 2 and 4). The location was perfect for getting to and from Coral Bay. This was not our first visit to St. John, but this was our first time staying on that side of the island. Staying in Coral Bay was a nice change of pace when compared to staying in Cruz Bay. We highly recommend Casa Yaya, and would most definitely stay again.

Perfect place for a week long getaway.

We loved Casa Yaya. It was just as described, the best part, was the view. It was super clean, the breezes from the patio into the house are just perfect, the privacy is just the best. It was well stocked, we used the beach chairs, towels and smaller coolers everyday while exploring the island. The bed was super comfortable and the fans throughout the house provide plenty of circulating air every where. It was perfect.

A beautiful home on a beautiful island

We loved every moment of our Christmas holiday at Casa YaYa. Waking up to beautiful sunrises, early mornings on the deck and evening swims in the pool. Coral Bay is both fun and peaceful. This was a perfect home base for our daily exploring; great location, a couple of markets for supplies and a nice assortment of places to eat and gather. We have so much of the island left to explore and will certainly stay at Casa YaYa when we return. Thank you Cindy and Bill for sharing your beautiful home!

Family Spring Break at Casa Yaya

Our family of 5: Us, our daughter, son-in-law, and 4 yr old grandson, spent last week at Casa Yaya. The house was perfect for our family. We loved having 2 master bedroom suites and the living area was spacious and comfortable. Our grandson loved the pool and the outdoor deck to play in. The views of course were spectacular. I loved seeing the sunrise every morning. We loved Coral Bay and tried out several restaurants and beaches. Only negative was the ride up to the house was a bit daunting, goingstraight up 500 feet. By the end of the week, we were pros. I also had an incident in the outdoor shower where I left a towel to dry. I picked up the towel to dry myself off and a gecko ran up my back! All in all, a great week and we would highly recommend Casa Yaya.

Paradise!

This property has million-dollar views. They are breathtaking. We were pinching ourselves every time we took in the scenery. The villa itself is comfortable and cozy with all supplies/equip needed for the kitchen, including spices. The bedrooms are beautiful and cozy and the a/c was so nice. It was wonderful to have a washer and dryer. The showers are semi-outdoors; they have 4 walls but the top half above head is open air yet covered with roof. Showers were amazing with the tradewinds blowing in! We made friends with a cute lizard who lives on one of the shower lights:) It was a very quiet location and we loved waking up for magnificent sunrises every morning while listening to the roosters, goats, and donkeys! The pool was perfect and my son loved swimming every evening. The flora and fauna along the driveway and backyard are beautiful and we watched hummingbirds every day. We love the Coral Bay side of the island as it is more laid-back and quiet but just a 15-20 min drive to North Shore beaches and 20-25 to Cruz Bay (beautiful drive too!). As others have said, the road and driveway are a little precarious at first, but do it once and it’s easy! Communication with the hosts was flawless and we were even allowed graciously to check in early, as the previous people had checked out very early. We really appreciated this! We already miss Casa Yaya!

To die for

Nothing bad to say about a tropical island really. I could probably stay in a hut on the beach and be in paradise, but this house is just over the top wonderful. The home is actually quite a bit bigger than the photos make it out to be, the deck is expansive and the view is unbelievable. The home is clean, the rooms are beautiful and the kitchen is fully stocked. The only comment I would make is that a jeep is needed or strongly advised to get to the home. We rented a small compact car and while it made it to the home with no worries we did need to take it slow on the gravel road and gun it up the driveway. So spend the extra bucks for a jeep. you'll be happy you did. The owners are VERY nice and easy to contact if needed. I would and WILL recommenced this home to everyone and anyone who mentions the Virgin Islands. We will be coming back next year!

Wonderful view

Stayed here with my family, including a 7 year old and 12 year old. They had bug spray, beach chairs, and lots of snorkel and pool stuff to use. The kids loved the pool and the loft area. The view is amazing, and there is also a gas grill on site we could use if we wanted. Water is delivered, so we were encouraged to flush after taking a #2. But with the heat and all, you can imagine how well it went with not flushing after a #1. We were worried about using too much water and I think that stressed us out a little because we didn’t want to use more than normal. This wasn’t mentioned in the listing. Washer and dryer are on site but again, since we were worried about using too much water, we only washed one load of clothes for the 4 of us. TV had Netflix, good internet to use. The house is beautiful. Water isn’t potable so make sure you grab water bottles before you get on St John.

Great House and location

We recently stayed at Casa Yaya for 1 week with our 2 teenage daughters. The property manager reached out to us a few days before our trip with instructions for our arrival. We were shown the house and all our questions were answered. The house was clean and there were plenty of towels, beach chairs, coolers, snorkels, everything we needed for a great vacation. The most amazing part was THE VIEW! It was amazing and the pictures do not do it justice. The view is spectacular and the outdoor space was perfect for taking it all in. The pool was a perfect size and the outdoor furniture was was of high quality. There is a telescope in the house and we were able to see alot of the BVI's at night which was really cool. The beds were very comfortable and the loft area was great and cooled down nicely with the privacy curtains. The outdoor showers were fantastic as well. Overall our stay was perfect. If something came up, Jeff or Dave were quick to respond. One of the bathroom drains was clogged and Dave came right over and took care of it. The washer machine broke the day before we arrived and Dave left us plenty of extra beach towels and bath towels. They also went above and beyond and did all of our laundry for us. Someone picked it up in the morning and when we got back from the beach it was clean and waiting for us inside. Exceptional service. Jeff wanted to make sure we had a wonderful trip, and we did! I would recommend Casa Yaya and look forward to returning to Casa Yaya in the future!

Beautiful View

Our family had a wonderful one-week stay at Casa Yaya. In addition to the amazing views, the house was fully stocked with kitchen amenities, washer/dryer, pool toys, beach chairs/floats, toiletries, paper products, towels, etc. One of the hosts met us and escorted us to the house to make sure we found the property - which was very helpful! She got us situated and showed us where everything was in the home. The house is located nearby many beaches - 15-20min to Maho, Cinnamon, Trunk, Salt Pond Bays. We went to all - but our favorite was Maho where we saw turtles!We rented the truck through the house and were very thankful we did as the roads in St John certainly require a rugged vehicle - steep roads, tight turns, dirt/gravel.The grandparents stayed in the two main level bedrooms, while the parents and kids stayed in the upper loft. The loft is very spacious, although the only access is a wooden ladder that is very tightly situated near one of the bedrooms. We went up and down that ladder a lot throughout the week.Everyone loved the pool - which allows for a prime location to view the islands!We loved every minute! Thank you!

Awesome 9 days in paradise

From the time I booked to the time we left we were taken care of. The owner reached out and had the on island staff connected with us for our arrival. First off, rent the yaya truck. The truck seats 10 or holds a small household with 2 ladies. Bags, beverages and food. It’s dropped in St Thomas at the airport and you drop it back there. It’s also way cheaper and 4wd compared to the jeep scene. The house itself is amazing. Breathtaking views from each room. No AC in the main living but you don’t need it. Cold AC and comfortable beds in the master suites. The outdoor showers are private and adds to the island life appeal. The kitchen is extremely well stocked and people leave spices and staples behind for you to use. There’s an extra drink fridge in the living area closest to the pool. Next part is the pool. It’s large enough for all guests, plenty of shade in the afternoon and views that people dream of. Dining table for 8 plus Adirondack chairs to take in the stars. The property has other houses around but all parts are super private. There is a gate to enter the property if it makes you feel secure, it’s there to keep the goats out! Coral Bay does not disappoint…better that Cruz Bay!!! Small places, good service and great food… try anything. I can’t brag enough about YaYa and our time there. We are coming back!

Paradise!

We had the best time staying at Casa Yaya overlooking Coral Bay! The view from the house is absolutely stunning—perched up in the hills with a perfect look over the town and bay below. The house itself is super comfortable and inviting, and we especially loved the afternoon shade over the pool and deck. It was the perfect spot to cool off and relax during the heat of the day.Our kids (13 and 9) were obsessed with the loft and had a blast sleeping up there. They had no issues with the ladder, though I can see why its not recommended for much younger kids. Having access to coolers, snorkel gear, and beach chairs made hopping around to different beaches so easy.We also rented a truck through Casa Yaya, which worked out great for our group. The kids loved riding in the back, and having the vehicle waiting for us at the airport made the whole experience seamless. Fair warning: the roads up to the house are a little intense at first, but by the end of our trip, we were handling them like locals.Make sure to check out Maho if you want to see a bunch of animals and Trunk Bay for an unrivaled view, hands down. And do yourself a favor and get the turkey reuben at Skinny Legs. Don't forget to wash it down with a painkiller!If you're looking to explore St. John in a quieter, more laid-back setting, Casa Yaya is an amazing choice. We'd absolutely stay here again!

Views as advertised---the perfect location

Casa YaYa was just the right speed for our family, which loves privacy and relaxation on vacation. We picked the house for its location and view, both of which were as good as advertised. We all spent as much time as possible out on the deck, and more than one nap was taken in the rope hammocks during afternoon siesta time. At this time of year (April), the breezes were cool and wonderful. The only thing folks need to be aware of is that the loft is not a sleeping option for young kids. Our 5yo (who is very brave for her age) was too afraid of the ladder to make the ascent, and even our 11yo refused to do it more than once. But they both loved the house, and we are definitely planning to go back.

Magical Trip

Fabulous house, location and host!

We’ve been to STJ many times over the years. Took another couple with us for this trip. Cannot say enough good things about the house. It was perfect for the four of us. Had everything we needed and then some. Our hosts pretty much thought of everything and were highly responsive. We had beautiful views and sunrises. Also got to enjoy beautiful starry nights. Coral Bay is the quieter side of the island which is exactly what we like. We will definitely return to Casa Yaya
