Elegant french doors create a seamless transition from your private pool and patio to a spacious, open-concept living area and gourmet kitchen, where expansive floor-to-ceiling windows blur the line between indoors and out. January Visit

The place was as advertised and very spacious. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was well supplied. Parking is limited if you have cars. Need to keep doors closed to the outside otherwise the house could get buggy. Would recommend as a place to stay,

beautiful views

PROS: The Papaya villa was spacious with nice decor, beautiful views and a private pool. The greeter met us at the car barge, which was so helpful because even with directions, I think the place would have been difficult to find (no actual street names and intimidating, steep and winding roads). The kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook. There's a washer and dryer inside the villa for convenience. The food at the Clubhouse is very good and they accomodate vegans. CONS: The kitchen was pretty dirty. The utensil drawers disgustingly had food debris and coffee grounds. The inside oven and hood were really filthy. Dead roach in the laundry room. Guest Services was really good and responsive about answering basic questions, but for example, when we mentioned the kitchen was dirty, or inquired if the men outside our window were villa staff/lansdcapers, no response was received at all. Due to the above mentioned negatives, 1 star was taken away. If we had received even an acknowledgment to our concerns or questions, a higher rating would have been deserved.

Great property

My family and I really enjoyed the property. We go to St. John every year and this is the first time we’ve stayed here. I wouldn’t over look the pool house food either. Small kitchen but the cook made the best Cuban sandwich I’ve had.

The location was great, the private pool was so nice to have, especially to watch the sunset from! The location was great, just 5 min cab ride from the main town/ restaurants! Would 100% recommend and hopefully we’ll be back soon!

Our Stay at Papaya Villa

We had a wonderful time staying in Papaya Villa, The Hills, St. John, USVI. The villa had all the essentials and was in a beautiful location on the island. I highly recommend any of the Villas in The Hills.

One of a kind views!

We had a wonderful experience, from easy and thorough check in process, to a nice clean private pool and one of a kind views from every spot in the home. Besides a few minor maintenance issues, this was an absolutely perfect experience and the best way to vacay in St. John. Checking in with Carly was great and she even gave us a free meal upon arriving and drove us to our villa. The home owner was in communication with me also ensuring that everything went smoothly. Very impressed with everything and we will definitely be back.
