The Original Custom House!

Come stay in what was St. Charles original Customs House built in 1801, but fully stocked with modern amenities and comforts. Walk downstairs and be in the heart of the Main Street St. Charles filled with history, dining, and shopping. You can sleep six adults comfortably in this two bedroom apartment, with two king beds and a queen bed in a separate bedroom. Enjoy the updated kitchen and wine bar. This historic home has everything you need for the perfect getaway!
*We provide a complimentary starter pack of essentials to help you settle in, including basic toiletries and paper products. For your extended stay, please plan to purchase additional items as needed.

Although we do not like fees in order to maintain our units we must make you aware of the following:
We are ONLY dog friendly. To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay for all guests a non-refundable fee of $100 per reservation will be charged to cover additional cleaning costs. Pet fees are NOT included in the original reservation price or room rate provided. Any applicable pet fees will be added to your reservation MANUALLY and charged AFTER booking.
If you do not honor our pet policy (dog only disclosure) you will be fined $200.
Strict NO SMOKING policy. If you smoke inside you will be fined $250.
We are not responsible for items left behind by guests. If you leave an item behind and you want it to be sent back to you. We charge $25 for that item to be shipped plus the shipping costs.
Any stay greater than 21 days will require an additional long term cleaning fee of $50 that will be MANUALLY charged after reservation confirmation.
An unapproved late check-out fine is $50.

Location is perfect. Clean and exactly what we were looking for in a weekend get away. The common areas (living room and kitchen) are on the smaller side if you are wanting a place to gather but we were out and about most of the time so it was perfect for us.

Location is so fun

We enjoyed our stay in this historic setting with modern touches. Cute decorating, they included coffee, large televisions for evening relaxation, and prompt replies for questions and very clean house. We could walk everywhere!

Location Location Location

Title says it all. We were traveling to St. Charles to visit family and experience the Historic District of St. Charles during the holiday season. This property is right on South Main Street and we were able to walk everywhere. The place itself is a nice mix of historic feel, with some original wood flooring and staircase, mixed with an updated kitchen and furnishings.FYI, it is in the upper level of the building, so there are some stairs for initial access, and additional stairs to one of the bedrooms. There is a restaurant on the 1st level of the building, which sent some wonderful aromas up into the rental. We ate there once and it was excellent.We will definitely stay again if make another trip to the St. Charles area.

St. Charles get away

Loved the location in the historic downtown. Property was adorable and convenient to everything. Living room furniture was a bit uncomfortable but overall an enjoyable time.

Cute lil place

my family stayed the weekend of halloween for a soccer tournament. The apt itself was adorable and great for our family. However there had been a lack of deep cleaning, fair amt of dust on blinds, bathroom fan, etc. food and beer left in fridge from previous stay. Not moped in a while I would say. linens and towels were clean. Loved the plants and all the white. I did notify the owner and he offered the cleaning service to come back, but since we we there and didn't want to have to work around that especially with our pup along we declined. It's on beautiful historic mainstreet, a very charming and sweet place. noisier at night than I would like, but I didn't think about it being halloween when I booked either. There is an excellent restaurant just a few mins walk away, Salt and Smoke was amazing! We enjoyed walking mainstreet at night and checking out the stores. Many do close at 5pm though FYI. We would look at staying here again in the future!

Great getaway for the family!

We recently stayed here for a 3 night getaway & everyone in the family loved it. Check in was very simple & the property managers were fast to respond to any questions we asked. The beds were comfy & the kitchen was perfect for our time there. The location could not be beat. We walked to bakeries in the mornings & dinners at night, not to mention the proximity to all the shops! Would definitely stay here & recommend to others!

Perfect

This condo is in the heart of St. Charles old town. I stayed here for 8 days and could not have been happier. Excellent response by host. The walking access to breakfast/lunch/dinner restaurants , bars and speciality shops is amazing.

Very nice property

Eveything was in great condition..very nice kitchen and the beds were very comfortable. we would definitely stay at this property again.The location was great...an easy walk to the brewery and bella vino and the many shops on Main Street.

Nice stay, great location

Overall property location was great. A few items need to be addressed to improve overall experience. 1. Washing machine is leaking 2. Overall fixtures are loose and towel racks need to be tightened ( we had to carefully hang towels) . 3. The top step into property is dangerous due to lack of support/ wood rot and several times our children almost fell due to instability of step. 4. Ground floor bedroom sheets were dirty and stained upon arrival.

Location!

The place was in an excellent location. Morning jog/walks along the Katy Trail, coffee stop at the Bike Cafe basically out the front door! Only thing to note is the only bathroom is off the living room, so maybe something for the modest but for our group it was a source of comedy. Beds were comfy, and place was clean. Would stay again! Host was super helpful as well!

Friend weekend

The home was lovely. The neighbors in the unit next door with the dog they left all day for 2 days, not so great. Thank you for responding quickly to texts and providing us a great place and location to stay. We still have a great time despite the dog issue.
