"The location was perfect—peaceful and just outside of town. The facility was clean, quiet, and still felt new. The room was adequate, but honestly, not worth the price we paid. The photos show the main lobby, so I assumed guests could access it, but it is reserved for those renting the entire space. After returning from town, my husband wanted a beer, so we stopped by the on-site snack area, only to find it locked. Items can be delivered to your room the next day, but since we were staying only one night, that wasn’t helpful. I understand the reasoning, but it meant getting back in the car and driving to town. We had seen the beer earlier and thought it was a convenient option. Lesson learned—we should have checked the system before leaving. We booked a room for my husband’s weekend off without realizing Oktoberfest was happening, which explained the higher rates. A few days before our trip, I checked prices again and discovered they had dropped significantly because heavy rain was forecast. It was disappointing to realize we could have saved money by waiting. Overall, the property was clean, quiet, and in a great location, but the limited amenities and price left me feeling the value didn’t quite match the cost."

"We stayed with 2 other couples. Loved the outside tables and chairs by the creek. Ordered pizza, drank our wine we had bought that day and just had a wonderful time. The rooms were spacious with 2 tv’s and picket doors between bedroom and sitting room with couch. Walked 4 blocks the next day to museums, lunch and shopping. Would definitely come back."

"Walking into the house you were great with soft music and beautiful scenery from the tv screen and fireplace below. It is to be fall soon here in Texas, but for all of you living here the heat seems to last forever, so walking in to the house you were greeted by fresh smells and 68 degree temperature. We were here for my daughter’s wedding, we live near Columbia, Tx and family drove in from New Mexico. The house to me had very ample space in each room and house, beautifully decorated. The kitchen and island can accommodate a large crowd for hors d’ oeuvres, breakfast or what ever you are serving. Large backyard for seating and entertaining, and corn hole game for fun. The game room has a dart board and shuffle board, just wish we had more time to use them (wedding duties). Over all you cannot go wrong with staying here, 11 out of 10. Best part is if you know Fredericksburg parking can be a pain, so if walking is not a problem Main Street is not faraway, excellent bonus. Thanks again Absolute Charm for being a wonderful host."
