"Excellent place to stay lovely food great service"

"Nightingale house - the lift was out of order causing inconvenience to wheelchair users and those with mobility issues. Did not clear away empty cups and glasses in main conference rooms ready for the evening events. There were no seats or tables in the hydration station, which would have been ideal for people with mobility issues. hot breakfast menu good. However, less items in chilled cabinets regarding fruit than in previous years. Hot lunch choices uninspiring and strict in what you can have. For example, main choice turkey with rice, but you cannot have turkey with a jacket potato instead, as the jacket potato is down as a main. But you are offered a side of mashed potato with your jacket potato, or rice. Venue have cut down on meal choice, salad options. Customer Service skills could be improved on in restaurant when asked what ingredients were used in a dish. This venue does not take cash. Ordering at the bar is extremely slow, even though the venue knew they had to cater for 250 guests, as in previous years. Staff on Registration are good. "

"We travelled with our dog. We made the team aware beforehand that we were with the dog. The ease of finding the location, parking on site and dealing with the reception staff was excellent. The room was comfortable with everything we needed for a couple of nights stay. The breakfast was basic, but that was fine. As we were in a rush to be somewhere on Sunday, I did not get chance to let the reception staff of a couple of things in our room (20), that needed their attention. The door handle on the room door was very loose, and needed tightening up, the toilet seat was also loose. There is a crack in the hand basin in the bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful."

"Staff at the front desk were extremely helpful. We forgot a plug for the charging lead to the phone, fortunately they had one spare. The hotel was lovely and clean, rooms were very spacious. Bathroom was big, great shower. The beds were comfortable. Room was a nice temperature. Great to have a fridge in the room too, along with a hairdryer, iron, ironing board and safe. Bar staff were friendly, in fact everyone we came in contact with gave great customer service. Especially the young lady working in the bar yesterday afternoon 12/6. Very helpful, explained where the bus stop was, very friendly and chatty. Unfortunately didn’t catch her name. Think she’s only been working there a few months, but already an asset to the company. Great hotel, I’d recommend this hotel to anyone and would definitely stay here again. Everything was explained, regards breakfast and the car parking and how to get discounts on them all. Brilliant customer service"
