We really enjoyed our stay at the Goodbread Inn. We were in the Gable and Lombard suite, which was very unique jyst like the entire B&B. The hostess Mardja was wonderful. We loved the surrounding area of St. Mary's as well.

This is the most beautiful and unique B and B we have stayed at. Our room was amazing. So much space and gorgeous decor. The homemade breakfast was delicious. Perfect location. We will definitely return!

This is our third time staying here! Owner is delightful and goes to every effort to make your stay comfortable. Breakfast is beautifully prepared. You can walk to the Cumberland Island ferry and to restaurants. Owner will facilitate a purchase of lunch to take on the ferry. The house is done in a victorian style. Nice front porch for relaxing.

Lovely old house very nicely decorated. Large room and very good breakfast. Friendly hostess. great location for catching the ferry to Cumberland Island the next day.

Mardja was a charming and gracious host and her home was comfortable. The house is well situated to enjoy the attractions St. Mary has to offer. It was our first time in St. Mary and I am sure we will be back. I would certainly stay at Goodbread House again.

Overnight stay.

The house was lovely and very walkable. It was full of antiques, which are pretty to look at but not very comfortable to use. The bed in the Lancelot room was very mushy and sagged in the middle. The bathroom was huge and comfortable. The upstairs porch was lovely. Breakfast was very tasty. I would stay here again, in a different room.

The young lady who chuck to soon was great. I believe it was the owner later on, who talked to us, was wonderful also. The old house is filled with nice things from another age. This added to our trip a great deal.

Always wonderful

This place is a stop over place for us as we drive up the seaboard. Usually you just want a bed to sleep on halfway during a holiday trip. But this place is like the holiday itself. The man in the morning is friendly and funny. The beds are amazing and the B&B is beautiful, quiet and located walking distance to St Marys downtown which is an awesome morning walk before breakfast and getting back on the trip

We thought the theme was cute but our (Evangaline) room was substandard for the price. Poor quality beds, terrible pillows, bedding sprayed or washed with a horrible scent that was overwhelming, the shower is circa 1950 and in poor condition, the bathroom was very dusty, the bedroom windows dirty. Again, our room was way over-priced for what we got.

Go relax at the Goodbread House.

We had a wonderful time at the Goodbread House. This was our first Bed and Breakfast and we loved the experience. The house is historic and charming and the host offer a center je ne sais quoi to the entire experience. When you go say hi to Mardja for us. We will return.

A very charming B&B, exactly as described and pictured. The proprietor has additional staff as she should so we did not see much of her. For reference, breakfast was delicious each morning we were served a plate with different items: the first morning a berry parfait, a small frittata and a slice of squash bread. The second morning a blueberry bread pudding, two small patty sausages and grapes. Orange juice was offered as well as tea and coffee. It is an old house and as might be expected the temperature is difficult to control precisely. Our only issue was that both nights (in late June) we were quite cold. So be warned to not assume that your lightest bedclothes will keep you warm enough.
