Hodnett Cooper is pleased to offer 412 Butler Avenue which is conveniently located in the Village area, within walking distance of shops, restaurant and fishing pier. This home is also located within 0.13 miles of tide contingent beach access via Georgia Street.

This multi-level home features 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths. The first level features a large living room, separate den and eat-in kitchen, one bedroom and one and one-half baths. The second level features three additional bedrooms and two full baths.

This property has wireless internet access. This home is also located within 0.13 miles of tide contingent beach access via Georgia Street.

This property will accept a maximum of two dogs under 35 pounds for an additional $150 non-refundable pet fee.

Really nice house near the village

We were very happy with this home. It was spacious with four bedrooms and baths. We loved being a block from the village and within easy walk of the beach. Didn’t really miss a beach view because we could walk to the pier or Neptune park or a public beach access easily. Highly recommend this rental!

We had great family time.

Very nice, location is the biggest plus. Very short walk to pier and resturants. Only small statement would be the bed listed as a Queen is most likely a double, overall nice for a family.

Nice place very close to the township

Nice place very convenient to the township. If you want to go to a sandy beach it is a short drive to the beach areas. Golf carts are permitted on the roadways so that made getting to the beach an easy task. Two of the public beaches have restroom facilities and the walk from the parking lot wasn't very far too a nice wide beach.

Perfect location

Listing as described and as in pictures. Dated but clean and spacious. Perfect location, near restaurants and shops and Neptune park. Tide contingent beach is very nice during low tide. Even saw some dolphins last morning there. Quick drive to East Beach. Neighbors who share the driveway are a very sweet and pleasant family. Very happy with our stay.

Had a great time in Saint Simon with the family

We had a great time at Saint Simon Island. The group enjoyed shopping, the water park and the beach. The beach was much closer than I thought it would be. Restaurants we in walking distance so no hassle trying to park. We are planning to come back next year.

Vacation rental

Wonderful location. If you are wanting something that is walking distance to town and all the restaurants this is a great house. If you are wanting to lay at the beach you need to drive to a different beach. We knew this and was not disappointed. We loved being able to walk to eat and not worry about finding a parking place.

Bigger and better than expected

We had a really wonderful stay. While the decor and furnishings are old, they are clean and in good repair. The place is much more roomy than the pictures would indicate. We used the entire house and could have comfortably had a couple more people join the 6 of us. The nearby beach is much less popular than the more busy East Beach, but there are reasons for this. (1) high tide comes about 2 hours earlier and lasts about 2 hours longer, leaving zero beach (the tide comes up to the rocks) for a bigger part of the day. (2) the beach is actually on the channel side of the island, so you really don't get any waves to speak of - kind of like what we experienced at Jekyll in the past. (3) The sand is all "wet sand" - there is no beach above the high tide mark. Not really a problem unless you like to set up a canopy above the tide and stay there all day. (4) The giant shipwreck is immediately across the bay from the beach. Not really a big deal (and you see it prominently from everywhere), but it will be in all of your water-facing pictures. It is really, really big and will take a long time to go away. We would have preferred a digital lock to the regular key, but that was not a big deal. The washing machine and clothes dryer are old and tired but work fine for standard beach wear. The galley-style kitchen is small and cramped, but it is well stocked and everything works (except for the built-in microwave, but they put a separate microwave on the counter instead. that one works fine but does take up some precious space). Fridge is large and works really well, which was important to us. We loved the carport and the ability to keep beach stuff outside but away from the street. The full-time residents next door are lovely people who are very kind and welcoming. We would definitely return to this location and home and appreciate being able to stay there!

Above our expectations

This property was perfect for my family’s visit to St Simon. The home is quite spacious and well equiped. Beds were clean and moderately comfortable. The 3 1/2 bathrooms were a godsend with little ones in tow. The location is great with only a block to walk to shops and restaraunts. We did end up driving about 10 blocks to the beach as the access on our block was underwater during most of the day.

Great location and layout of house

This is a great property near Mallory Street with multiple sitting areas and a great selection of bedroom options and beach amenities. It could definitely use an updating but a good fit for our grands! We had a slight issues and Hodnett Cooper handled it immediately. Full-size washer and dryer in a laundry room with lots extra blankets, towels and even beach stuff. We even found a wagon for the beach in an upstairs closet the day we left. The owners of the house that share the driveway were super helpful.

Great house near beach and town

We came down to St. Simon for Thanksgiving. This house was a great location for our group - very short walk to the water, town, the pier and the playground. The family room is spacious with plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The den in the back of the house was an added bonus. We had a great time!

Nice and Clean

We enjoyed our stay the house was clean and very well located for us. Equiped with everything we needed. The only bad thing about the house was the backyard, there is no grass just hard ugly ground, it was not pleasant to sit on the back porch.
