Welcome to Serenity Lake Cottage!! A beautiful lakefront home located mid-island in the eclectic Glynn Haven neighborhood. Chill is the mood at Serenity Lake Cottage. Kick back on the lakefront porch and watch Anhinga's diving for fish or feed the hundreds of turtles that live in the lake. Throw a little turtle food in and watch them come from all corners of the lake for lunch.

This 3 bedroom, 2 bath home will be the perfect getaway. No steps to negotiate here, everything is ground level. Nicely appointed, you should want for nothing. The master bedroom comes with a king sized bed, en-suite bath and Smart TV. The two guest bedrooms have queen bedding and one has a Smart TV. These two bedrooms share a hallway bathroom.

Enjoy lake views from the living and dining rooms. The living room comes with a large sectional sofa and large TV for big family gatherings. The kitchen/dining room combination will take care of all your culinary and entertaining needs. Enjoy every meal overlooking the lake.

A Serenity Lake Cottage you will be close to many of the islands amenities. Several delightful restaurants and cafes are within a few blocks of the home. Harris Teeter (grocery), a variety of shops and a movie theater are less than a mile away. Play a round of golf at the Sea Palms golf course, also less than a mile away. Drive down Frederica Road with it's majestic live oaks and Spanish moss canopy on your way to the beach (approximately 4 miles away). The St. Simons village, pier and Lighthouse are also just minutes away.

Our first stay on the island

The house and location were perfect! The whole rental process was painless and very reasonable. The house was spotless and well appointed. My wife is an avid turtle preservation enthusiast, and when we stepped out on the back patio, at least 15 turtles started gathering at the sea wall, expecting food! Comfy beds, great gathering spaces with the living room and kitchen. A couple of minor complaints; the master shower is very tiny and there isn't a flat surface anywhere. Shampoo and soap always ended up under foot. I would also suggest for the long term, to screen in the back porch to make it more usable. We would stay out there for a few minutes at a time because the mosquitos were absolutely insane!! Not your fault, but a screened porch would have made the outdoor space much more usable. The only other minor gripe was I wish we'd had access to the garage door opener, would have made unloading groceries in the rain much easier. But I understand keeping track of them would likely be more hassle than its worth. Overall we had a great time at this property and cannot wait to come up with another reason to come stay on the island.

Great stay on St. Simons

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our 4-night stay at Serenity Lake Cottage. The location near the center of the island was very convenient for visiting different locations around St. Simons as well as Jekyll and the mainland. The cottage was clean and well equipped. We loved feeding the turtles in the lake with the food provided by the owner.
