PARADISE FOUND! DISCOUNTED SUMMER RATES AND GENTLE BREEZES!

Captain's Quarters was truly a labor of love. It look us three years to build and was completed in December of 2014. We are located on the beautiful north shores of St Thomas. The villa faces NE so we enjoy warm tropical breezes most all year. The view is phenomenal. We sit above five bays and have an expansive view of the Atlantic ocean. You can only find that true aqua color here in our crystal clear waters. We have over 30 varieties of tropical trees and flowers on the grounds and enjoy the hummingbirds and parrots that frequent them.

Our location is considered rural or as the locals call it "the bush". This means we are away from the hustle and bustle of town but close enough to enjoy our shopping and restaurants. You don't hear traffic noise here, just the waves breaking on the rocks, the squawk of parrots and the song of the "coki frogs" at night. All ocean views on the island are spectacular but ours are not hindered with power lines or neighbor's houses. We have an unobstructed spectacular view!

Did we mention the breezes keep away the bugs so dining on your porch at night is a treat? There is casual seating on the porch in addition to a dining table and grill. Inside the Quarters has a comfortable sitting area for those in the mood for a little TV while enjoying the view. We offer a 47in HDTV with cable, premium stations and Netflix. The kitchenette has custom cabinets, a granite countertop and a stainless steel frig and microwave.. We do not have a stove/oven. We do have a NuWave Induction Portable Cooktop. It's such fun to cook on! It's a product so new on the market we've left the instruction booklet in the cupboard.

The Master Suite has a king bed has a great mattress and several pillows to choose from enabling a good nights rest. The en suite bathroom has a double vanity and a walk in travertine stone shower with a rain head.

The washer and dryer are conveniently located in the hallway next to our 2nd full bath. No need to take home dirty clothes!

Joe and I live on the property also but we designed our home with vacationers in mind. You'll have your own space with a private entrance and personal parking. We are handicapped accessible and one of the few properties on the island with NO STAIRS and level grounds. We are here and available to insure you have the best vacation possible in our tropical paradise. We're happy to help with directions or answer any questions you may have. Joe has sampled every burger on the island and is eager to offer his opinions! Our goal is for you to have a great time on St Thomas!

We have a beautiful courtyard with a POOL! While you're here, the pool is a great place to relax and cool off. It's only used by guests in our two units. You'll see Joe cleaning it every morning and if we're invited, serving his famous rum punch at cocktail time!

"Honorable Mention" goes to our GENERATOR. Being on an island we have a limited power grid to draw from. Consequently, at times we find ourselves without electricity. Joe is not much for roughing it or having his favorite scifi program interrupted so when the lights go out, our GENERATOR goes on!

If you've searched for a place to stay while on your vacation, you already know how beautiful our island is.
All beaches are open to the public, don't limit yourself just to one. Each offers something different.
It's so fun to eat here. The restaurants are many and their menus unique. Enjoy the local cuisine from a food truck or eat in a five star establishment.
Consider renting a car. Driving here is an experience all it's own. With a car you can explore the island. We're only 14 miles long, 3 wide. We drive slowly, anything over 25 mpr is too fast. Come and go as you please. When someone waits for you in traffic, a slight beep means THANK YOU!

Exactly what we wanted
Beautiful property, wonderful hosts... We travel to St. Thomas often, but this was our first stay on the Northside. We loved staying at this property. The views don't get better, and the guest suite was immaculate and met all our needs. Most of all, Marcia and Joe are simply the best hosts we have ever met. I love this spot.

This was an excellent find! It's very clean & comfortable. The hosts live on the property and communicated very well, helping me find the place and get settled. Perfect Stay - Best view of St. Thomas
My husband and I have rated this as one of the best vacation stays we’ve ever had and if I could give Marcia and Joe 10 stars I would. Amazing location and stay!
My husband and I stayed here during our visit to St. Thomas to celebrate my birthday. The views at this location are spectacular and just breathtaking! Felt like we were in paradise. The property is beautiful and the apartment is stocked with everything you could need! The bed was also very comfortable. I loved how quiet it was and the breeze that came through was refreshing. It was the perfect place to come back to after a day at the beach and was exactly what we needed. We didn’t get a chance to meet Marcia and Joe, but communication with them was excellent and they were very thoughtful and accommodating. I highly recommend and would definitely stay here again the next time we visit!

I had the most enjoyable and relaxing stay here. The view is breathtaking and the unit was exceptional. Fully stocked with all the beach equipment, sunscreens, shampoos, kitchen appliances and utensils plus lots of spices. We absolutely loved our stay here. It was a relaxing and enjoyable experience. The villa is very beautiful, and spacious WITH Spectacular ViEW!!!!! Our rooms were comfortable and clean. Also, appreciated the hosts' communication and hospitality. You will need an SUV to get to the location. You will be within 15 minutes drive from airport, restaurants, beaches. Nice pool to cool during the day.

Wonderful Stay
Joe and Marcia were very helpful from the beginning. Marcia sent me phone numbers for rental car companies a few days before we arrived and we were able to secure a rental. Joe and Marcia met us at the car rental location and then, we followed them to a market. After picking up a few items, we followed them to the beautiful apartment. The view is stunning! They gave us a map of the island and a magazine that gave us lots of info about the island regarding beaches, activities, and more. They even printed out details to help us navigate our way back to the apartment and they have a literal "open door" policy for renters. If we needed to speak to them, we were able to walk to their entry door and the door would be open. Their home is beautiful also. The area is full of lots of steep hills and winding roads that took some getting used to. But that added to the adventure of being on St. Thomas. We enjoyed our stay! We also loved and appreciated having a washer and dryer in the unit so we could wash our things before we left. Thank you Joe and Marcia for sharing your wonderful property with us and for being great hosts. Oh and thank you again for the tasty cake and birthday card for Eric and for the lovely hand painted ornament.

Incredible Island Getaway!
We stayed in the one bedroom guest house. The house was incredibly beautiful, well put together, well maintained and clean. We had everything we could have imagined there, from extra sunscreens to beach towels, beach chairs, cooler, snorkel gear etc.! We also felt safe at their property, since it is a hidden gem. Communication with the owners was excellent, they met us near the airport and we followed them right to the house. They gave us tips and ideas for our trip. I hope we will be back someday, thank you Marcia and Joe for a wonderful trip, that we will never forget!

Getting away from the cold!
Our stay at Joe & Marcia’s was fabulous from our first arrival at the island they met us at the airport and followed them to their beautiful home. The view was breathtaking. So peaceful with a nice cool breeze each day. The unit was clean & comfortable everything you needed was there. Joe & Marcia were very helpful on how to get to things or suggestions. Oasis in Paradise
We had a fantastic stay at this VRBO in St. Thomas! The setting was stunning, with breathtaking views that made every moment feel like a dream. The accommodations were top-notch, with everything we needed for a comfortable and memorable stay including beach and snorkeling gear; leave your checked luggage at home. Spectacular View!
The property was just as described and more. The view from our balcony was so beautiful, overlooking several bays and the ocean. The breezes kept us cool and so relaxed. Our accommodations were very clean. The owners were so helpful and provided everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. They even met us at the airport, which was so helpful in finding their home the first time, since it is tucked away. After that, it is easy to find the home. Joe and Marcia are so friendly! They even invited us to share a home cooked meal with them, and watch the Super bowl together the night before we left. Thank you again, Joe and Marcia!

Great 5 star property nestled on the North side at an elevation with perfect temperatures and breezes. Hosts were amazing and very accommodating. Property seems like brand new construction with high ceilings and top of the line finishes. Quite refreshing coming from the beach and noticing the humidity and temperature dropping as we ascended to the property!

We had an amazing stay at Joe and Marcia’s place. Starting from the welcome at the airport we knew we picked the perfect place. The view just takes your breath away. We stayed in their 1 bedroom unit that had everything we needed and more. You will find the bed extremely comfortable for a perfect nights sleep. Our only regret was not booking a longer stay. We look forward to returning to get our rain check on Joe’s famous rum punch!!

We had a great stay. The 2-bed apartment is perfect for a small family—it’s quiet and away from the busy areas. My daughter enjoyed watching the chickens every morning. The view from the porch looks like a postcard, and the closet is stocked with everything you might want to enjoy the island (coolers, beach chairs, snorkels, etc.). AC in the bedrooms is lovely, but mostly it isn’t hot because it’s higher up the mountain and gets great breezes. We will definitely be back!

Best VRBO Hosts We’ve Ever Had
We cannot say enough good things about these hosts and this property. The owners are so thoughtful, kind, and truly thought of everything you could need. They encouraged us to get a rental car vs. utilizing taxis as we had planned, and they also suggested we allow them to drive in front of us on the way back from the airport so we wouldn’t get lost the first time. I can confidently say we would not have had a very pleasant trip if we hadn’t listened to their very wise recommendations. The property itself is gorgeous. The view is the prettiest we’ve seen, and it’s far enough away from town that you feel you’re on your own in this little slice of paradise. It’s a close drive to the famous Magen’s Bay Beach, and as we said they thought of everything you could possibly need and may have forgotten. We are grateful to them for ensuring we would have a fantastic trip, and we will definitely be back if they’ll have us! Our personal recommendations for dining and experiences: Coffee Only: Pistatios (not healthy but delicious) local place Breakfast: Northside Grind (coffee delicious too), Jimmy Buffet’s Dinner: Prime (fine dining, take the sky ride to paradise point for the full experience) Experience: Magen’s bay beach and trail, snorkeling at Coki beach, Coral World

And the Best Host Award goes to....
Joe and Marcia!! They built their home with vacationers in mind and it is an amazing place to stay. They truly care about their guests and go above and beyond to make sure you have a great vacation and that you have all you need. The view is breathtaking, the landscaping is incredible, and it is private and quiet. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, glassware, toaster, blender, NuWave Cooktop, coffee pot and more! The bed was very comfortable and we did use the air conditioner a few nights even though it was 'winter'. Shampoo and soap are provided and lots of towels. We also used the beach towels, a big cooler, and chairs for the beach! So plan a trip and book with Joe and Marcia. Bring your swimsuits and toothbrush and pretty much everything else you need will be there for you. Thanks so much Joe and Marcia for a wonderful week at your spot in paradise!! Trip Tips: Their are lots of signs reminding you to stay left when driving. I read a helpful hint to think of it as 'shoulder to shoulder'. The driver's shoulder will be to the shoulder of the road. Our GPS wasn't always a help when navigating. Pay close attention to landmarks when arriving at Joe and Marcia's and hopefully they won't have to come rescue you like they did us. If you go to Magen's Beach, turn left after you pay and park further down to avoid crowds.

Caret Bay is AWESOME !!
Absolutely beautiful !! We were originally booked with family at Sapphire Beach, last minute medical issues would not allow my husband to navigate steps. Given that this was our 1st time to visit St Thomas USVI we started looking for places with no steps. When I started inquiring with Marcia and Joe and this condo I just knew this was the place. Even it if was on the opposite side on the island. It did not disappoint!! Marcia and Joe met us at the airport and guided us there. From the breath taking views to the pristine condo we were very pleased with our choice. Until next time...Enjoy !!

Wow! What a view!
This was the perfect spot for my husband and I to celebrate our anniversary. The location on the property has the best island breeze and we did not have to use the air conditioning at all. The landscaping is gorgeous and tropical, to frame the outstanding view of the bay. The location feels private and secluded but you are near by to everything. The kitchenette is well equipped with all your culinary needs. Everything you need for the beach is provided. The bed is comfortable (a little squeaky) but comfortable. The bathrooms are beautiful and the high ceilings and tall door ways make it feel grand. Joe and Marcia are great hosts and make everything easy. You will leave feeling like family.

Joe and Marcia are awesome hosts, from the time they met us at the car rental agency till we left the villa, they were outstanding. Both were able to give us great recommendations for beaches and restaurants; they were very responsive to our needs when we had questions. They were so friendly, we really enjoyed talking to them and learning about the island. The views from the balcony are nothing but amazing! As soon as we arrived, we took pictures and sent them to our family because we were so excited to be there with that great view. We spent the mornings on the balcony having coffee and breakfast each day. The evening breezes are cool and we would enjoy being on the balcony to cool off at the end of the day. The villa is simply outstanding. It was clean, clean, clean! All the furnishings seemed brand new and having the extra bathroom was a real plus for us to get ready quickly. Having a washer/dryer there was even more of a bonus since we would wash beach towels almost every night. We would definitely recommend "The Captain's Quarters" to anyone. Marcia and Joe have a beautiful property and you can't ask for better hosts! They met us near the airport and drove us to a grocery store, allowed us to shop and then drove us to their property which would be hard to find initially. Macia gave us many tips on things to do on the Island, how to get around, favorite snorkeling spots, resteraunts, etc. We followed many of ther tips and were very happy with them. The one bedroom unit is charming with a beautiful view! The family room/kitchen was so pretty and clean. The kitchen was very well appointed, it have everything! The bedroom was large - a king bed, large dresser, night stand and space to move around. Off of the bedroom was a bathroom but the best part is that there was a second bathroom in the unit! My favorite was the washer and dryer! So handy to have. They supplied snorkel equipment, mats for the beach, lots of beach towels, and a cooler. No need to bring shampoo's or hair blower. My husband and I have been to serveral VRBO's. This is by far our favorite! Thank you to our wonderful hosts and they do make the best banana daiquiri's on the island!
