Exceptional communication

We stayed for 6 nights in this wonderful condo. There were 6 of us, 4 young adult daughter's and friends. There was plenty of room for us to spread out and give the girls their space. The immediate communication with Don was very friendly and helpful. He made it feel like we were renting from a family member. The condo is conveniently located close to Red Hook. Perfect condo for family of 6 at a great location

Dec, 2024: This was a beautiful condo with a fantastic location and plenty of space for our family of 6 (we could have fit 8.) We loved having the lanai for breakfast each morning and we were very close to shopping and great restaurants in Red Hook (5 min) and all our fav beaches; Secret Harbour for snorkeling and the BEST sunset (5 min, get there early for beach parking) and Sapphire Beach (8 min, easy, free parking). We had a full kitchen and were able to cut down on luggage by using the washer/dryer midweek. My teen boys loved the expansive loft space. It was also nice to have a pool to relax in after a day at the beach and great to have access to beach chairs, snorkel gear, boogie board and beach toys. Don was great to communicate with and very responsive. Thanks for a wonderful week!

Family of Six - Spring Break (High School)

March 2024 - My wife and I brought our four high school age kids (3 boys & 1 girl) to St. Thomas for their spring break. While there were some logistical challenges with our flights, Don's property was perfect for our family, and Don was great to work with, both before and during our stay. The condo is located in a quiet cove/bay about a 4 minute drive to the town of Red Hook. It is a third (top) floor unit with a large deck overlooking the tennis courts, pool, and view of sailboats anchored in the bay; we spent a lot of time on the deck, making use of the large round table big enough to accommodate our family, and made use of the grill for a couple of dinners. The main floor has two bedrooms and two baths, along with the well-stocked kitchen, and family room with a smart TV. The upstairs loft area has three beds and a bathroom with shower. So, lots of open space making for a very comfortable stay. Don was/is a great host - providing lots of valuable information about the islands and logistics before the trip. He was very accommodating and flexible with our travel issues, and went above-and-beyond what I've experienced with any other VRBO host (and with our large family, we utilize this method of vacationing on the regular. And anytime I had a question, Don was prompt in responding. A few notes about the island - it is beautiful; food is expensive; driving can be challenging; Red Hook is fun; Charlotte Amalie is not a place to be after 5 pm; St. John Island is nice too.

Great condo!

I've stayed at this condo several times. It is spacious, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Great for a family or a group of friends. The location is excellent and is walking distance to both the Elysian and the Ritz Carlton, which both offer great restaurants, spas, etc. Also close to Red Hook restaurants and ferry to St. John. Cabs are plentiful so there is no need to rent a car. Highly recommend it!

Lovely condo and area

We had an excellent stay at the condo and thoroughly enjoyed the nearby beaches and town. The condo was very comfortable, bright, clean and spacious for our party of 5. The deck was perfect for family meals and the internet access was excellent for our family members who needed to keep up with work. Access to beaches was great -- just a short walk -- and there were lots of amenities close by, including restaurants and shopping. Don was an excellent host, always available right away to answer our questions, and to work with us when we had scheduling issues. The entire family loved our stay there.

St. Thomas June 12-17

We recommend this property highly. Don was readily available to answer questions. It was clean, well maintained and was perfect for our family that included two adults, Grandma and three teenagers. We chose this unit because it allowed everybody to have their own beds (except for Mom and Dad!). It was the off season, so it was very quiet. However, we liked the fact that it was easy to get around the island and the beaches were relatively quiet.

Great space for all six of us with room to spare.

Enjoyed our stay in this great space with plenty of sleeping room to stretch out and comfortable seating to enjoy meals together and play cards. The view from the balcony is also nice with great breeze all day keeping us cool. We went to other beaches on the island as wanted to explore. I would not stay here without a rental car to get around. This is very close to redhook (10min drive) and enjoyed restaurants and grocery shopping there. Note if you need darkness to sleep don’t pick the balcony side bedroom as the blinds do not block outside light. We had everything we needed including beach chairs. My only wish for would have been better cooking frying pans, what’s there is pretty beat up and eggs stick. Thanks Don for sharing your space. We really enjoyed it.

Post Hurricane Island Adventure

We just had a wonderful week spending New Years on St. Thomas. The condo itself was fantastic and by judging the unit alone, it'd be hard to tell that it weathered two cat. 5 hurricanes. It fit 7 adults very comfortably. The place is in a great location, making it easy to get to multiple beaches, restaurants, and the ferry to St. John and the BVI. The island is still in recovery, but doing worlds better then i was expecting. We had no problems finding a variety of places to eat or see live music. The beaches are all absolutely beautiful. Honestly I would say now is the time to go if you're considering a trip. None of the major hotels have re-opened yet, so you get all the amazing winter weather the island is known for without all the extra crowds of tourists. I'd highly recommend staying here if you make that trip as well.

Amazing stay and view

This location was great, we felt very safe. The villa was very clean and the host was extremely helpful and there when we needed. This places is much better in person and the balcony view is just amazing. There was an electric grill which we used and worked great. Right behind the condominium is a small but a little rocky beach aa well as another near by beach and restaurants. All the rooms had Ac and Fan. At night it did get a little hot in the room near the balcony and the top flood but not manageable. A wonderful breeze if you leave the balcony screen open. The pool was wonderful and right next to the beach. Only small issue is you have to walk to the gate for cab pick ups as they couldn't get in. The bathrooms on the first floor were great and the top shower is more for small children, no one 5ft or taller could use but with two other showers is was fine.

Perfect place for our island vacation

We had a fabulous time on our vacation and this condo was a perfect home base. We highly recommend this condo. The photos in the listing are very accurate. The view and breeze from the balcony was so nice. We ate several meals out on the balcony. The condo is very roomy, comfortable and extremely clean. We had great communication from the owner as well as an e-mail with wonderful suggestions and tips about the island, grocery stores, restaurants and airport info which was very helpful. The location of the condo is nice because it is in a quiet area but very easy to get to the busy Red Hook area. We had our family of 7 and there was more than enough room for us. The kitchen was stocked with everything that we needed for cooking and they offered that guests could use the things in the storage closet. We borrowed the cooler, beach chairs, swim fins and beach towels and made sure that we took care of them and returned them to the closet. It saved us a lot of money not having to buy/rent those beach items as well as being able to cook some meals. The washer and dryer in the unit was very handy as well. Thanks to the owners for sharing their wonderful condo with us. We will be staying here each time we come to the islands. Highly recommend!

Always happy to stay here

We have stayed in this particular unit several times, and we love it. It is large, and each room has it's own full bath and is well separated from the others for some sense of privacy. It is attractive and well decorated in beach themes. We are very comfortable, even with our three kids and on some occassions when we have stayed there with others. As for the resort, it is not the Ritz - but that is more of a compliment than not. It is quiet, well groomed, family friendly, and there is a lot to do. Our boys like playing tennis on the courts right beneath the balcony at all times of day or night (the courts are lit til 9pm). The beach has very clear, calm water (unlike the expensive Westin on St. John, which has very cloudy water), so it's perfect for easy swimming or putting a mask on. The pool is small, but it gets the job done when the kids want to jump in after a day at the beach. Overall, the best thing about this resort is that it is safe, clean, well groomed, relaxed, and fun. But it isn't a hotel, it's a condo complex; if you don't mind getting up at 5am to reserve a beach chair with the throngs of people at a hotel, or feel the need to be seen, try the Ritz or the Westin. If you want expensive furnishings, big lobbies, lavish (read: expensive) onsite restaurants, and equate how much you spend to how much fun you have, then look elsewhere. But if you want space, privacy, a good value, and don't mind making your own drinks - or walking down the beach to have dinner or drinks at the nearby Elysian, then this would make a great option for you.

Yearly girls trip

We were a group of 6 women who travel yearly. We have been booking on VRBO. So far every booking has been just as we expected from the start to the finish. Don was wonderful to work with. Since I was arriving at a different time, then the rest of the group, he was kind enough to send a set of keys to each group. The condo was just as described and was perfect for our group. There was snorkeling gear, beach chairs and beach toys in the upstairs closet for our use. There was more then enough beach towels once I e-mailed Don and asked where they were. (Under the kitchen counter bar.) Don was very good about answering emails promptly with answers to all our questions. There was some spices in the kitchen along with more then enough pots, pans, and other kitchen supplies that we used often. We did not rent a car and had to hire a taxi when ever we went out or to the store. Trip per person to Red Hook was $5.00 and to the other side of the island $10- $12 each way. When you called the taxi service they were there within 5-10 minutes. Just enough time to walk to the gate. We loved being on Red Hook side of the island. We were close to the Red Hook Ferry, which we took to St John. We also charter a boat 2 different times. Once to Virgin Gorda (Baths) and several other islands. The next time to snorkel and tour around the island. We had a great two weeks and if we ever decide to go back to St Thomas we would rent from Don. The only problem is, we go somewhere else every year. So many places to see on our bucket lists.

Wonderful relaxing place to stay

This was a wonderful property for our family. We had four adults and two children age 7 and 10. The kids loved the loft and sitting on the balcony. My son played tennis every day. There was a closet with beach accessories such as chairs, a cooler, multiple sizes of swim fins, and boogie boards that we could use at the beaches. There were also tennis rackets and tennis balls. Don was very communicative and helpful. I appreciate his efforts to make our vacation a wonderful experience.

College spring break

We took 3 of our college aged kids on Spring Break and stayed at Dons condo. The directions he gave were exact and easy to follow, he gave us great recommendations and the condo was conveniently located. We enjoyed the beach and pool. The bedrooms had bathrooms for each and also plenty of hangers and room for luggage. We enjoyed the stay and would stay again!
