Glen had everything read for us in the Chicken Coop. It was clean and there were no surprises. The beds were comfortable, the coffee delicious, and Glen was a great communicator. Recommend!
Pleasant surprise pulling into this quiet retreat. Love the history and the future of The Farm at Hyde Park. Glen was super hospitable and accommodating. On our list for places to stay again. Thank you Glen!
The chicken coop was just what we all needed while on our fishing trip. The inside has everything you need and is very clean and comfortable, the WiFi was great to keep the teens connected. The outside area is very relaxing and the covered porch was great as we had a lot of rain during our visit. The host were very responsive and all the extras they do for you is amazing. We look forward to our next stay there.
We enjoyed our stay at the chicken coup! The house is well located for farm tours, historical mansion tours and breweries. River and post in town was an amazing restaurant book a reservation in advance. Glen the owner was very helpful and friendly he let my daughter feed the chickens on the property which she loved. I cannot recommend this place enough!!
Great house, great surroundings and super host. Rustic feel with modern function. All went extremely well and Glen was most accommodating. Recommended to anyone traveling to or through this area.
Glen a great host Lived the farm and the chickens. Zita as so sweet and helpfulMabel, our Border Collie, loved the farm Perfect location for site-seeing and enjoying restaurants. Hyde Park: FDR and Eleanor Roosevelt historical sites, Woodstock Thanks Glen
The Chicken Coop was perfect for our family's needs. The property was clean and exactly as shown in the listing. Pet-friendly, with extra surprises waiting for us. We highly recommend this for anyone coming to stay in the Hudson Valley!
Glenn was an awesome host! The property was so beautiful - big trees, gardens and chickens all great for the kids. He accommodated our family and made us feel welcome. We actually stayed in one of his larger homes and it was perfect for our family visit.
We stayed at the Chicken coop when we attended a conference at Omega Institute of Holistic Studies as it was conveniently located a short drive from the campus. It was clean and comfortable with AC. All of our meals were supplied at Omega so we did not need to cook however the kitchen is very well stocked. Samples of honey, maple syrup, and dried mizuna were provided along with some farm fresh eggs which was a nice touch. There is a nice firepit but we did not take advantage of this. The host Glen is easy to communicate with and we would definitely stay here again if we attend another workshop at Omega.

Liked: Check-in, location
It was reasonably comfortable and it went well until our 2nd full day when, upon returning back from a morning out there were workmen in the attached apartment. They were hammering on or near the adjoining wall! Every blow of the hammer was excruciating as, my daughter had needed to rest with a migraine and I was in some discomfort too. I finally went to the car and dozed off with the windows up. My husband said as he walked the dog on the property there was glass on the ground too. The owner approached me outside but I was out of it from dozing in a hot car with window rolled up to escape the noise. He didn't seem too apologetic for the very rude disturbance. This has really soured us on renting again. We are good tenants and always try to be respectful of others.
The Chicken Coop is somewhat rustic, but we enjoyed it very much. The fresh eggs and honey samples were a real treat. We would happily stay there again. The host was a great communicator.
