"We stayed in the penthouse. Beautiful view of the bay. Well designed suite which can comfortably accommodate small families. Very clean and all appliances you might need are provided. Unfortunately there were insufficient toiletries, no coffee or tea. Need to be cautious about climbing the winding iron staircase and wooden steps to reach the door. Not for the faint hearted! But great experience overall"

"Simply beautiful. So thoughtfully designed, with obvious attention to every detail. A small space perfect for a couple, that doesn’t feel small, but light-filled and airy. Every window frames a gorgeous view. Our host was quickly responsive to any questions, and left a guide with thorough instructions on how to use everything, ideas for hikes and activities and useful info on local businesses. Although attached to the host’s home, the suite was completely private. The bathroom and shower - gorgeous. Comfortable bed. Fresh flowers in a bud vase on the counter when we arrived. Great hikes and natural beauty on Denman. We were completely charmed by the island, loved this beautiful accommodation and can’t wait to return. The humpback whales that we could see and hear from our deck were a magical extra touch."

"We always enjoy our stay in Bowser and the cottage is excellent. Great view of the ocean and we love sitting down by the fire-pits close to the water. A TV would be a nice addition for those fall evenings when it gets dark by 7:30pm."

"The room was clean as it had been renovated. It's a typical motel-style property, so noise from outside - like parking and people talking - carries easily. The portable A/C connection was missing a bug screen, and the pipe fixture was broken, which allowed bugs to get inside. There wee two beds, but one was not used because I found hair on it. Since there aren't many hotels in town, the price is generally on the higher side in summer time."

"This was an amazing place and fully stocked with EVERYTHING.We only gave it a 4 star on one part of the review because the lock box did not work. No matter, the door was open and we left it that way for the trip. Granddaughter saw a key on the wall on our last day LOL.The area seems very safe.The place was very clean.Really,I thought the price was a bit high when we booked…but not when we arrived….beautiful place!"

"We had an excellent stay! The home and property were beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The lake and mountain views were stunning! The amenities such as the hot tub and paddle boards, kayaks etc. were great! Would definitely recommend and would stay again when visiting Port Alberni!"
