We arrived after an overnight flight and we were exhausted. Nicoleta could not have been more welcoming and helpful! She got us settled and answered all our questions, even some we hadn’t thought of. Would absolutely recommend this hotel, it was fabulous, and you’ll be in great hands with Nicoleta.

Dinner menu was fine but breakfast was even better!

Always stay here staff are excellent. Hotel room has everything we need and sitting out looking onto the lake is stunning Food is reasonably priced and you can have it brought to your room for a service charge. Breakfast is good or if you’re going out for the day they offer sandwiches instead.

Upon arrival, I experienced a traveler’s worst nightmare. It was completely my fault, I had booked a room at the Oyster Fleet for the right day, but I had got the date wrong and booked my stay for the following week! The receptionist was extremely helpful in rectifying my mistake, even though it took some time to sort out. This a great hotel with great food available

I had a lovely stay at the King Charles Hotel. The staff were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the local area, offering great advice on nearby places of interest and attractions. The breakfast was plentiful, with a good selection, and the staff was always courteous and welcoming. Although the rooms were a little dated, they were clean and comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised with food for dinner and breakfast! I would say the only complaint that we had was the parking outside. If you pay before you go inside you will pay significantly more than if you go inside. There's no signage that says it's cheaper if you go inside and there is no refund.

Better to enjoy your coffee there rather than get it to go. The takeaway cups are so small that you end up throwing away half your coffee. They should offer larger takeaway cups to avoid this waste.

Excellent breakfast with really attentive service, the hotel was so close to everything but also really quiet. It is not the most modern place but is clean, comfortable, perfect location and lovely owners/staff so is definitely worth the price. Would definitely stay here again.

Very nice

My room was small, but very clean and comfortable. Short walk to underground station made this a great base for exploring the city. The area is quiet, but always has enough activity to feel safe. As a single traveler, I was perfectly comfortable walking after dark. Friendly staff made it a great place.
