"I had a lovely night at The Golden Lion. Every staff member I encountered was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and the bar was nice. I also liked my small but cozy room which came with tea, coffee and some biscuits. The ONLY issue I had, which was not really the hotel's fault, is that my room was swelteringly hot as I stayed during one of the hottest times of the year. I was provided with a fan, but unfortunately this did not help. Overall though, I had a lovely stay at this hotel. "

"Our room was very clean. Check in was very smooth. You have to register your vehicle at check in to get parking. I myself am coeliac ,and the staff in the resteraunt were absolutely brilliant. They went out of there way to give me all my gluten free food for breakfast. Will definitely be staying there when I need somewhere to stay in that area . "

"Receptionist was lovely and friendly, I arrived earlier than check in but it wasn't a problem and I received a free upgrade to my room. Received a discount voucher for the restaurant next door, and if was lovely! Breakfast was delivered to my room in the morning. Great little hotel and I'll definitely book again if I'm in the area "
