In the lovely Shenandoah Valley, close to Luray, Virginia, you'll find Hawksbill Retreat Log Cabin #8, where you'll find the ultimate romantic escape. Our 45-acre refuge, which is conveniently located to Luray and the Shenandoah National Park, offers peace and relaxation as well as breath-taking panoramas of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Now with very fast HIGH - SPEED INTERNET and a ROKU streaming device in addition to Satellite TV.

Take your morning coffee onto the covered porch, where you'll find two rocking chairs where you may relax while taking in the tranquil atmosphere. A private hot tub, a fully functional kitchen, satellite TV, and WiFi are all included in the cabin's amenities. A passionate evening beneath the stars is the perfect time to take use of the fire pit, swing, and outdoor charcoal BBQ that are provided.

The cabin and location was phenomenal! The views from the front porch, hot tub and fire pit were amazing. Comfy bed, clean cabin and nice peaceful environment was perfect. Hosts were only a text away and we will definitely come back to cabin #8! Perfect getaway!

Everything was perfect. Felt very relaxed. Views were spectacular. Only thing I would ask would be to maybe add a few things like, coffee, come toiletries, soaps, shampoo etc. Other than that, we were very pleased with our stay.

Location was wonderful. Getting through the entrance gate was problematic. We needed help from the onsite manager who was very friendly and helpful. There was too much dust and cobwebs to give it a 5 star for cleanliness. The kitchen lacked some things we considered common and essential like salt and pepper. Paper products supplied were barely adequate.

Really a great getaway either solo or as a couple. I couldn't hear anything from the other units. Scenery was tranquil. Bed is SO comfy. Hot tub is divine. Also, dual shower heads feel AMAZING. Everything about staying here was relaxing.

Holiday weekend getaway

Very nice place. Cute cabin with lovely views. The fire pit are with a covered couch swing is great for evenings. If you are an early riser, there are nice sunrise views of the mountains. Enclosed property so you feel safe at night. We even dozed off one night on the swing looking at the stars. Hot tub was good and seemed well cared for. Landscaping is nice.Cabin itself was clean with updated fixtures and a good kitchen. We did see a few wasps by the deck. It appears there are some traps and the owners are addressing the issue. We sprayed some mint and the wasps stayed away. Only other thing I would change is might bring my own grill. The one they have is like the older kind you see at a public park. Still, each their own. Overall a nice trip and would happily recommend to a friend.

Anniversary Getaway

My husband and I wanted a weekend getaway for our Anniversary. We ended up staying 3 nights. The location is beautiful and so peaceful. Cabin was clean, I will say the strong smell of lysol/cleaner was a bit much but eventually faded after a day. At least it was clean! So Ill take it as a win.The bed swing was a wonderful addition. I could have spent every morning and evening just relaxing. We did enjoy the cows across the way. Our view was amazing. The bed was so comfortable. We travel with our own linens and pillows but the mattress was very nice! The shower was another pleasant surprise with double showerheads. The washer and dryer in the cabin was another bonus. Overall fantastic establishment. Instructions were very clear from the start. We look forward to coming back!

The best couples getaway

Arriving at the property the gravel drive way took you up to the beautiful cabins which revealed a gorgeous Mountain View. The property grounds are very well maintained and the cabin was gorgeous. Very cozy and had everything as described in listing. We spent most of our time in the newly installed patio which gave a postcard view. The bed swing was a nice surprise as the listing doesn’t reflect the new addition. On our second day the owner stopped and made sure our stay was going well and he was extremely nice and personable. One little surprise was the baby copperhead that slithered out from under the hot tub steps as we were exiting the hot tub on our second night. So use caution and be mindful of your surroundings. But don’t forget you are in the mountains so it should be expected you might see wildlife and little surprises like this. There is dim lighting provided around hot tub and patio area so it allowed us to see it in time and remain safe. I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking to get away for a couple days. Will return again in the future! Adding a picture of our favorite part and where we spent most of our day.

This property was perfect for our trip. It was extremely clean, quiet and good proximity to access hiking Shenandoah trails. Hot tub and porch great for relaxing after long days hiking. Would definately stay here again.
