"Staff was very friendly and for my needs, this hotel was the perfect fit, It was close to the reason I was in town and there are plenty of shops, and places to eat locally. There is even a full grocery store just blocks away for most supplies. Rooms are not high end, but not what you are looking for here. Had a nice local vibe and everyone was helpful and courteous. I would definitely stay here again."

"We were amazed at the beauty of this location. The “Cabin in the Sky” is charming and well appointed with everything we needed. The cabin is obviously well loved and cared for. It’s quite the treasure. The town of Index is rich with local history and a testimony to the hard work of those who preceded us. Then there’s the mountains!! Must have taken 30 photos at different times of the day. Will enjoy editing them and sharing them with friends and family. We were very impressed with how well the owner communicated with us, making for a problem free arrival and departure. We hope to return sometime when those mountains are covered with snow."
