"Updates like new carpet and wall decor made for good effort but there was a lack of detail given to renovations, for example, the wallpaper in my room was put up sloppily and painting was done haphazardly. The room had an upgraded bed mattress and linens but the pillows were tiny. This hotel appears to be trying to be higher-ed but you can't put one little shampoo packet if you want customers highly satisfied. I appreciated the cleanliness of the room but black spots in the tub area should be eliminated - not sure if it was mold or not. And finally, I would have been a return patron if it wasn't for the surprise parking fee! Get rid of that because it ruined my whole check-in. "
