There was a pan seared salmon dish on the dining room menu that was fantastic, this was a very well managed hotel, only wish there was a lift for us older folk

This hotel is different from a traditional hotel. Modern yet not too out there. Lots of young folks around since part of the facility is also a student housing. The food in the restaurant is excellent. Location is great too.

We arrived early and I asked the front desk person if they could hold our luggage. To our shock, she checked us in early and we were able to go to our room. The hotel is convenient to the train station, shopping, and there is a theatre across the street. We opted to eat in the hotel restaurant and the food, drink, and service was all exceptional. Good hotel with good service. Breakfast is fresh and of good quality. It can be busy in the breakfast area at peak times (between 9 and 10 am)

Food great, advertised 24 hr room service that did not exist. Short on staff the whole stay. However restaurant very helpful on providing trays etc for u to go get your food. Id still recommend staying there the location for the price cant be beat

The staff was incredibly friendly. The historic building is beautiful. The room was spacious and had a kitchen. Everything was spotless. The bathroom shower was large, great water pressure and temperature. The bed is super comfortable. They don't make up the rooms daily, as it is an apartment hotel. Most helpful and friendly staff. Clean, comfortable room. My waiters were excellent. I did not have breakfast so I cannot comment on that.

Basically all was excellent but toilet was not cleaned one day. Very nice room but public areas need facelift. Location 6 stars.

Booked this hotel for its location as we were seeing a show at the SEC Hydro. Really happy with the check in, room and location.

Fantastic value for money

Great place to stay within easy walking distance of the city centre. Breakfast is really good and the discounted parking across the road was an added bonus.

Of all the places we stayed during our 10 days in Scotland the Sherbrooke was the absolute best. (And we stayed in a few rather nice places, including the Scotsman in Edinburgh) Every member of the staff was beyond polite, friendly and accommodating. They could not do enough to help us feel both welcome and comfortable. In addition, the evening was gorgeous and our photos of the grounds and sunset were exquisite. What a way to end a trip at such a marvelous establishment.
