"We had a wonderful weekend stay at The Shire! Mike was so welcoming and personable. The property was beautiful and spacious and the house was perfect. Our family of 6 stayed there for a long weekend. The kids loved the basketball court and huge yard to play catch in, the swing overlooking the pond, and the huge and very spacious garage where they played ping pong and bag toss! Thank you for great stay!"

"Very nice setting. Owners very nice. I did not know they were on site. Disappointed with all the fees. They were more than the price per night of the cabin. When I arrived I found out I still owed $75 per pet on top of all the other fees I had already paid. Overall it was a very nice stay."

"I would stay here again. The check in was easy and the lady was nice. I was even able to check in an hour early. There’s no door key to worry about loosing. The code is specific to each renter. There is a good pool in the back. I also saw a grill and a bonfire pit. It is very close to Weko Beach. There’s a great restaurant within walking distance. "The Yale security door lock wasn't working properly. I was locked in my room and couldn't open the door to get out. The manager (who was very nice and apologetic) had trouble getting it unlocked as well. Almost had to crawl through the window to get out. Since they were at capacity, there was no other room available. I moved to another room the next night and no problems. The air conditioning units were loud but worked well. This is an old but remodeled property."

"This is a very cozy and quiet place in the South Bend area about 10 minutes from Notre Dame. There are horses on property which are nice to look at and thick woods behind.
