"The Abner Hotel is a truly unique venue. It is the old Litchfield county courthouse but entirely renovated with an interesting style. The Abner is in the heart of the town of Litchfield, a wonderful New England historic town. You can walk to many great shops, restaurants, and to the Historic Society museum. The room was very comfortable and clean. Included breakfasts were excellent. There is a well-reviewed restaurant that serves dinner and a cocktail bar on the roof that provides great views of the countryside."

"The hotel was very nice with a quaint, old fashioned feel. Plenty of parking which is free. Offered complimentary cappuccino & tea in the lobby 24/7. There is a chess set in the sitting area of the lobby as well as a billiards/pool table. Breakfast included in the stay including make your own waffles. The mattress was firm which was great for me. (My husband prefers a softer mattress) Pillows were good with enough to choose your preference. It was a too warm in our room when we arrived. Luckily you can adjust the temperature to your liking. The shower head was very nice with very good water temperatures. We enjoyed the available toiletries. Extra appreciated additions were the magnified mirror, a mini fridge & complimentary water for my husband & me. I appreciate the sink separate from the tub & toilet. We would definitely stay here again!"
