"We (Mum, Dad, 15 & 8 year old) from Cornwall stayed for 3 nights. We wanted somewhere near Cambridge as my eldest is there at Uni. The location was spot on, only 30 minutes drive to the centre of Cambridge and 3 miles from St Ives where there were plenty of places for fuel, shopping and eating. The accommodation was perfect for us. The only slight thing was the sofa bed was a little less comfortable for the eldest child. But everything was clean, tidy and well equipped for us on arrival. We arrived just after reception closed and we had received a welcome text with our room number and keysafe code. The was a folder in the room with all the necessary information for our stay, very helpful! The most amazing part is the setting. A beautiful courtyard outside and free entry to the amazing Raptor Foundation literally next door! We were all excited the first morning to have a view of the 2 meerkats from our window! The Raptor centre is simply incredible: we all learnt so much and the staff and volunteers were so passionate and knowledgeable! And super friendly and helpful too! I simply can't praise them highly enough. The birds are all amazing and have proper characters and there are several flying sessions each day. A small reptile house as well and a great educational room. The lunch available in the onsite restaurant was very reasonable and extremely tasty. There is a playground for the smaller kids and a gift shop with a beautiful array of souvenirs. We will definitely be back!"

"We've had a wonderful two night stay, in an ample sized room for two people, which was clean and well supplied with the essentials. Comfortable bed with a choice of pillows, additional chairs and space to work or nake snacks. Very helpful, friendly staff who try accommodate all requests and queries. Very ample food options for breakfast and veggie options on request for hot food. Flexible options if you need food to go too. Despite being near the dual carrage way it was quiet. Definitely would stay again."

"This site was just greenspace on the edge of an industrial estate when I grew up here and it seemed a little weird pulling into an area where I had my first driving lessons on a Saturday morning as it was all but deserted over the weekend. Not now, there's a busy looking pub literally staggering distance away, the ubiquitous Greggs, few other structures the purpose of which didn't register. Very quiet, all I can hear is doves cooing. Staff friendly, nice to even have staff, last place I stayed was largely automated so only other humans were fellow guests. Complimentary breakfast, none of this £15pppn extra nonsense and much better than any £15 rip off offerings. Lots of guys in work gear and German accents so probably popular with service/installation engineers working at operations on the industrial side. One minor issue is the size of the car park. It didn't look to have much space when I checked in around 4pm, and was lucky to get the last one when I returned around 9pm after dining out. Does puzzle me as to why - in a era of expanding waistlines and growing obesity - are parking slots getting narrower? I'm not exactly Captain Lardy but even with sensibly/centrally parked cars, one needs to be like Stretch Armstrong or a contortionist to get in or out of the car without injury to self of damage to vehicle!"

"Very nice hotel inside - few wear and tear items but nothing I couldn't live with. Staff were always friendly and nice, often having to deal with some perverse remarks from other guests. They respect your privacy, especially if you're there on business or for confidential reasons."

"Really nice place. My wife and I spent an enjoyable few days in the area and despite a wedding being held at the hotel the weekend we were there, there was no problem with noise or access to facilities. Lovely restaurant, grounds, spa and staff. "
